Anyone download it yet? I'm hearing that there's a few initial bugs they're trying to sort out. Should I hold off when it appears on my phone?

No OS version of anything will be bug proof for all.

Somebody somewhere will have a bug, which is why software updates are never-ending.

Download and enjoy the new features.

Whats new in it? Still on 4.3 Sprint HTC One. Didn't think I'd like Sense, but 5.0 has been pretty damn great.

It's already avail. for Google Play editions of HTC One & GS4 and rooted phones, might have to wait 'til 2014 for the carrier-locked phones.

The update pushed out doesn't have the new "Google Experience" launcher activated although there are ways to do so.

I've been using unofficial CM11 (Kit Kat 4.4) on my Galaxy Nexus and there's close to almost no major bugs in that. So if I can run an unofficial mod of Kit Kat 4.4 which isn't coming out for my phone at all, I would assume the official build for your phone should be fine.
