Aldridge? Anthony Davis? K-Love? Griffin? Dirk? Who you got? This position is pretty deep.

So far through this season?

Given the Spurs/Blazers record I'd go LMA or Timmy.

It's not Griffin or Dirk at all imo - it's not Love because his stats aren't translating to the amount of wins as the other guys.

I'll go Timmy, LMA, Anthony Davis so far this season.

You can always tell if a poster watches the games or not.

The fact that you think Timmy has been a better player than LMA or Love, let alone Anthony Davis, tells me you have horrendous analytical skills outside of checking what team has won for the night.

Timmy the best power forward this year. Wow....

Not to mention that for the past half-decade Tim Duncan has been the CENTER for the Spurs, not the PF.

How many Spurs games have you seen this year?

It's not a stretch whatsoever to call Tim Duncan the best power forward this year at all imo - looking up stats/advanced stats to compare players if foolish.

Sure LMA has been fantastic and efficient but he isn't near the all around player Timmy has been, factoring in defense, rebounding and passing/play making.

Timmy also plays about 10 mpg less - they're per 36 minutes are relatively close statistically.

lol ok I understand the whole Timmy not being the #1 PF in the NBA argument but to say he's done is blasphemy.

I've watched exactly 7 games. And in no way is Duncan the best power forward in the league. He hasn't even been the best player on his own team. Are you serious right now?

LMA, Love, and DEFINITELY Davis have all been better players than Duncan this year.

Best at your position has absolutely nothing to do with the number of wins your team has. Is Hibbert the best center in the league right now? Give me a ****ing break. That debate is left for MVP voting. This is concerning the player as an individual, regarding his production and impact. Duncan had looked every bit of 37 this year, and hasn't performed anywhere near as consistent until the last two games.

Your disposition is alarmingly inaccurate. In no way, shape, or form has Duncan been the best PF this year.

ok he's not done. that was a bit of an exaggeration. but to say that he's still one of the best is blasphemy too. Dude is averaging 13/8 on 44% shooting.

lol ok I understand the whole Timmy not being the #1 PF in the NBA argument but to say he's done is blasphemy.

Now, I wouldn't say he's done. He's been putting up 20 points each of the last two games on 60% shooting. So "done" is a severe stretch.

But top PF in the game?

Before the Atlanta game, Timmy was only averaging 26 mpg, because he has to sit whole quarters since the Spurs blow out every team they play. His per 36 numbers are 17/11, which is great for a 37 year old.

He's like a sleeping giant, he will wake up come playoff time.

It's not height, it's role. Timmy always guarded the opposing teams center unless the opposing team had a star PF and even then it's a toss up. Continuing to pretend like Duncan is a power forward is just ridiculous.

Aldridge improved his rebounding but he's scoring inefficiently. Been around 50 TS% for most of the season. I'd probably go with Love

^^ if Lebron is PF then why does Battier defend other team's PFs?

I'd say before Davis got hurt, he looked like #1 for a stretch of time. Love had my vote prior to that, but his efficiency the last couple of weeks have left much to be desired for me.

LMA has the potential to run off with this title for the year, but I need a larger sample size. Those three are definitely the candidates though, and on a sidenote, I don't want to hear anything about Blake friggin Griffin being in the running.

I just thought it was funny they list Lebron as PF thats all, he has played even PG more than PF and starts mostly SF.

LA is definitely the best PF this year. When you consider the Blazers record and how they pretty much have the same team as last year (a team that didn't make the playoffs), LA has a legitimate case for MVP.

This. I love Timmy and Dirk, but they're no longer the best PFs in the league. They're still effective and can help teams win tremendously, but the best in the league..? Come on.

Guess who consistently allows his counterpart on the other team go off while being the primary defender for that position?

Even Clippers fans have been ranting about Griffin's porous defense.

LaMarcus is the best PF in the league quite some time but this year he's backing up his case with a great record, so I will go with him.

Dirk has been playing very well, if he manage to stay health I can see him taking the #1 spot again.

Surprised Lee is not in the discussion. He was last year. Sure, his stats are a little down and Love and Dirk are back, but Lee is just as good or better than last year. His stats are down because Bogut is back getting 9 or 10 rebounds a game and Thompson's points have went way up.

Aldridge. The guy went takeover/god/GOAT mode the last two games against two of the best teams in the league. He's always been stellar and very underrated. That high-arc turnaround jumper is almost un-defendable. He's got some great post moves and is deadly from mid-range.

Davis looks like he could be a dominant player in the league, but if you're looking for the best power forward in the entire league, right now, based just on this season so far, Love and Aldridge are the only two with an argument in my opinion.

Gotta go with Davis.

If we're excluding him, LMA. Looking at a pure statistical perspective, then Love gets the nod, but actually watching the games shows how LMA can take over games like he did against OKC :applause:

LMA for sure. Davis was up there until he got injured, and Love is next man up. Aldridge is becoming/has become a legit superstar though.

Love is a curious case because statistically he should be the best PF in the game, and a top 3 player. The T'Wolves' results don't add up though and that can't be overlooked.
