He can't play more than a few games straight without his knees causing him problems. This is just how it started for Brandon Roy. I did a little research on Wade and there is a quote about his knees being arthritic. :(

If he can't play at a high level then Miami's chances of beating the Pacers is significantly lower. What is the deal with Wade? Will he ever be 100% again? He had the whole summer off and it didn't make a difference.

They need him for the playoffs. He can still play 65+ and average 20/5/5 for the season, but come playoffs, his knees will start acting up.

He'll still play ~55 games this season and end up averaging 20/5/5. They're just being careful. Any sign of problems, they're gonna shut him down for a game or two.

He's still a star. Not a superstar though.

he should still be productive for many more years to come as long as the team he is on is ok with him playing around 50 games a season. But ask you can see, when he plays, he is still puttin on a show.

He is playing well in the games he is playing, so no problem.

Miami will need him at his top in at max 14 games in the season, the ECF and the NBA finals.

the end came for him when Lebron sabotaged that finals to deny his last chance at glory

Wade is overrated he's only had 2 great seasons, aside from that he's just another Vince Carter

Vince Carter never won a ring, or had even gone to the finals

With how weak the East has been, this is a good time to do this. Obviously Wade is getting older and the Heat are already doing their thing with their record so it's not the worst move to let him rest his knees and be fresh for the Playoffs.

They won't do it but they could probably cycle one of the big three out every few games and still do decently. You gotta remember that they've been playing regular season and post seasons in the Finals for the last three years, it has to be wearing on them to only get a couple of months off in the summer. The same way it has any championship team.

I read an article in the Miami Herald and Wade had Ossotron therapy on his knee during the offseason. Apparently it takes half a year to make a full recovery from.

The Heat say that Wade is actually AHEAD of schedule in the recovery, but they are being proactive and letting Wade play in what looks like a part time basis right now.

It makes sense, the last two seasons Wade has been banged up heading into the playoffs, They just don't want to repeat the same mistake last time.

Wade says he won't feel 100% until midseason, but if you look at when he does play this season, he has looked good to me.

Only 2 great seasons yet he's averaging 25/6/5/2/1 49% for his career? Wade's career numbers would be a career year for Vince Carter. Also, Vince Carter is likely going to the HOF. It's not exactly a bad thing if erasing Wade's 2 best seasons still has him at Vince Carter's level.

This is just another excuse to get Lebron more help. Wade has been their most impactful player in most of the games he played this season. He's actually playing better than he usually does in the earlier part of the season.

FA coming up, and showing so many problems...

Too bad if he doesn't resign with the Heat (which I think he will) there will still be another squad stupid enough to pull an Amare-2

His knees are healthy enough to walk to the mailbox and collect his paychecks.

I started this thread after seeing he didn't play the other night. I really had no idea why he missed the game. I'm really happy to hear he missed the game because he was sick. It's great news that his knee is actually improving. Wade's been my favorite player for at least the past 7 years.
