KG being a "defensive anchor has little to due with Lopez's rim protection being above average since it was last year without KG there.

That's not even giving Lopez much credit, if you are a true 7 footer and weigh more than most of the League and have at least decent coordination to block shoots, you'll be a good rim protector for most teams in the NBA.

Thinking otherwise is just being ignorant to the NBA game.

Many answers in this thread would change now, after 7-8 years.
