Toonami is having anime movie month this December, so make sure to tune in. This week was Akira, and next week is Summer Wars, then FMA: The Conqueror of Shamballa and Trigun: Badland Rumble. This thread is also for general Toonami discussion in general because this was my shit when I was younger.

Saturdays were so fun back then

YMCA basktetball game, then saxophone lessons, followed up with ordering takeout from our favorite Szechuan restaurant that's now closed, and then a relaxing few hours to close out the day watching yu yu hakusho, prince of tennis, that one show with the racing mechs, and Naruto(I still like the chunin exams arc more than most recent Shippuden storylines)

for me it was basketball, dominos pizza with sprite, then Naruto. Chuunin exams arc is one of my fav arcs even now. up there with pein arc and some others. Even now I can go back and watch it. good 'ol days

They got Nabeshin's Space Dandy, along with Shippuden. Seems good for American anime fans.

Old school movie in a post world war III Tokyo about Biker gangs and Psychic powers, it's really weird.

And the FMA movie is completely different from the original story line, it's part of the old show before they made the brotherhood series.

Akira ****ing sucks shit and to the guys asking abot FMA Movie, here's what it's about. Edward is stuck on the otherside of the gate, Al comes to get him. People on ed's side of the gate opens the gate then try to conquer the otherside. Ed, Al, and Mustang stop them and in the end Al and Ed decide to stay on the other side of the gate because it fvcking sucks and they think they can change it. I just saved you a few hours on watching a crappy movie

Toonami sucks. The hell would I stay up at midnight just to watch a stupid movie that I can watch on my laptop any time I want? Another sh't thread by the biggest fhaggot in ISH.

I remember when they had toonami on weekdays. Adult Swim on the weekends. DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam 0078, and others. It was cool. I'm glad they brought toonami even if it's only on Saturdays.

Summer Wars was a good movie, but I swear it was the same exact plot as the Digimon movie.

A virus hacks the internet in Japan, he hacks into the military and sends a missile, and they have stop him by fighting with digital monsters. Even the animation looked just like it. Everyone comes together around the world to help them defeat the virus, and they win at the last second.


Not that it ruined it, but it was really similar.

Anime movie month is over, but Space Dandy just got put on there. First episode was really funny. They are releasing it in English at the same time as they are in Japanese. I recommend you guys watch it, even if you don't usually like anime.

for this summer the lineup is going to have:
Space Dandy season 2 - a cool show about a guy in space with a robot and crazy shit goes down.
Terror in Tokyo - some new crazy, awesome psychological thriller
Cowboy Bebop - don't even need to explain. awesome. 10/10 anime
Attack on Titan - show about giant monsters who eat things and humans who try to survive against them.
Dragonball Z Kai - don't need to explain
+ some other filler shows
