Without Kobe, we win today. Yes, it's his first game and we shouldn't be too harsh but Kobe looks about as detrimental to this team as Pau.

Kobe and Pau just look like they're holding the team back. I consider Pau a lost cause. Hopefully Kobe adjusts. I do believe in Kobe!

Dude Derrick Rose had a whole pre-season to get some practice in, not to mention when he was medically cleared he refused to play, its not the same situation, Kobe got cleared to play and he came back, this is the type of performace you should expect from a player coming back from such a serious injury, give it time.

I agree 100% with this. His turnovers really hurt the team, and benching Xavier for him was pandering to the crowd in the worst way. I mean, even Mike Brown wasn't afraid to bench Kobe in the fourth. This was Kobe's first game back, and of course he's going to play terrible, so why not just keep him at limited minutes and stick with the players who were leading the comeback?

I expect Kobe to improve as the season goes on, but this was just a horrible decision by D'antoni. If a player sucks, you bench them and get the win with people who 1) aren't turning the ball over, and 2) are actually getting the ball in the hoop.

Not only that, but his Stans will defend his every move. An achilles injury is no joke to come back from, and at age 35? The chances of him retaining even most of last year's form is not high. People built the game up. Reality has set in so now the trolls/fanboys will battle it out. Kobe didn't have any lift tonight what so ever and looked pretty terrible which should have been expected. Question now is has time finally caught up to him or will the rust eventually shake off? Aging, serious injury. Feels like were going to see the first significant decline of Kobe. Kobe didn't play that bad. He played tentatively and his timing was off but that should correct itself with some playing time. What concerns me is pau, holy crap he got destroyed all night. Our frontline got crushed. Jordan hill played well down the stretch but Amir Johnson's first half was sick and we never recovered from that.

Not too concerned. The chemistry will work itself out. Lot of guys were standing around when Kobe got the ball and that messed up our offensive rhythm even though wasn't hogging the ball, he was looking for cutters off screens and guys to pass the ball to but I don't thnk the other guys knew what to expect. I was happy to see that Kobe didn't push it. He didn't try to show off, he grabbed some great rebounds that showed some solid athleticism. Defense collapsed around him hard everytime he tried to move to the paint which caused him to turn it over a lot as he was they cut off his passing lanes. He was driving g to dish not to score and it played into the defenses hands.

Like I said only thing really concerning on the court was pau, he just looks terrible lately

Trolling the troll to troll the troll is fu*king insane logic.

Have you considered that Kobe's haters only seem like worse trolls to you because they're hating on a player you like? Treating one side as if they're worse is hardly the way to get them to stop trolling. And neither is calling one side out for trolling, while turning a blind eye when the other side does it. You acknowledge that both sides are bad, but only do so in the context of lecturing one side. You really want the trolling to stop? Then be consistent and call it out on both sides.

I'm a Kobe hater, but I'll never deny that man's greatness. With that being said, he's 35 coming off of injury. How do you think he's gonna look the first game back? Don't lump us haters and the trolls together. You need to know who the enemy is. Neg me if you want, but I didn't expect big things from him yesterday. That's not cause I'm a hater. That's because I'm realistic. That's not a swipe at him.

Yeah. I mean, I loved seeing Kobe back on the court, but it was clear to everyone that he was rusty. Hell, even Kobe knew it, hence his fear of shooting tonight. I'd rather have 10 minutes of Kobe and a win than a lot of Kobe and a loss.

Couldn't have said this any better. I loved seeing Kobe back in uniform tonight but sentimentality aside, he notched way too many minutes considering how he played last night. You could tell he was uncomfortable and hesitant through a lot of the game, most of his turnovers were made through brash and anxious decision and rustic feel for the game.

I literally screamed at the TV when Xavier was subbed. Our bench should have stayed in the whole 4th, with Xavier and Young catching fire. Not the first time we've seen sub par decision-making on behalf of D'Antoni.

MDA respects Gawdbe and allowed him to play through his obvious rust even though it was hurting the team

Too bad it sucked the momentum out the team as Raps had no answer for Xavier + Young tandem.

It's not Kobe's fault that Dantoni threw the game away by subbing him in for Henry at the end of the game.
Come on. You know D'Antoni would've been a dead man walking had he not thrown GAWDbe in for the dramatic come back win that was never going to happen.

At the very least, Kobe stans were laughing at how long it took Rose to return. There was even a troll thread about who would return first between the 2 even when it was announced Rose was going to play opening night and there was no reason to believe Kobe would be ready.

Pretty sure it was homo LeBron stans bashin Rose. Majority atleast, I do remember 1 Laker fan hating, but a handful of Kobe fans were actually fans of Rose.

Posters who seemed to bash Rose the most: Numbersix, Silk, Trollsmasher, zoom17, and Dmavs41.....You do the work pin pointing who they're fans of.

This. Except you know I'm not a Lebron stan. Just not a fan of Rose or his dreadful fan base.

Anyone attacking Kobe for his game last night is an idiot. I thought he looked great all things considered.

Yeah Kobe will be fine. Looks a bit heavy compared to last year though. Like 2011 Fatbe.
