Kobe really did a damn fine job staying healthy. It looks like injuries are going to conquer him. He put up much more a fight than T-Mac. Kobe was playing at a high level right before he got hurt.

First of all, injury aside. He's 35. Keep that in mind. MJ at the same age in '98 completely and finally lost his hops. The body just starts to deteriorate athletically rapidly after your early 30s. Kobe even got a piece of one of Jordan's shots when he was 35 too.

With that said the major thing that sticks out to me about this play is the piss poor, hero ball, selfish shot selection. He wasn't fooling anyone with the move, it was obvious he was going to shoot it. And he had a defender draped in the front, and the back on the shot. The smart move would've been kicking it out.

Watch the play, the second he goes into his pivot he has basically 3 defenders on him. He could've made a pass to Gasol near the rim, Blake was wide open, as well as #20. Just poor, overly theatrical shot selection.

Am I the only one seeing how lethal Kobe still is? He's just rusty. Regular Kobe would have pumped fake there and drew the foul on the young fella. Or he could have faked him out and do a scoop a la The Dream layup.

How can you disrespect Kobe when he's your only reason for posting on ISH?

I mean, you are one of his original haters, but seriously bro...You were trolling him for years posting "he will never win without Shaq"....Then he did, and you vanished...You actually haven't posted on these boards for the longest untill, ofcource tonight, on Kobe's return.

Riiight. So I've only posted here off and on in the past couple of years because Kobe won a title back in what, 2010? OK. Bryant fans are seriously the most delusional ones on earth. And that's why even Jeff says:

Dude, you can try n wiggle around the truth for new dumb posters, but we both know your only reason for posting here is for a player you hate....I'm willing to bet my life that 95% of your post involve Kobe in some kind of way.

Even when you post "on and off" the "on" is almost always about Kobe.:oldlol:

Meh, it was a nice defensive play but not all that surprising considering how rusty Kobe looked. I think it will take at least 20 games for Kobe to be comfortable out there.

Watch the disappointment in Gasol just letting his hands go down and not even trying to defend their fast break.

He's been treated like trash and never given any credit for the two rings that kome claims by stealing finals mvp. No wonder he's quit these past 2-3 years. Even now they continue to openly shop him, kome fans continue to blame him. Same story, the guy can only get blame but no credit. Just like Howard gets 5 shots and all the blame for the game meanwhile the guy with 15-20 shots, not his fault.
