Heat are 16-5 while cruising in the weak east, why would they need him to rush back? Birdman didn't join the team until nearly mid way through the season last year.

Heat are coasting. No need having Oden in right now. I imagine he'll be eased into the rotation around March. Heat got him for one reason and thats to battle Hibbert in the playoffs. Hopefully he'll be healtht and able to give the Heat 15 or so great minutes a game

Somewhere taking dick pics.

But seriously they saving him and Wade for the playoffs.

The Heat are so stacked they don't need them in the regular season. Also the East is a joke of a conference

He will never be ready, his body just isn't built to play.

According to the Miami Sentinel, Oden is continually active with his training and conditioning program. Coach Spo also mentioned that effort is being taken to Keep him away from the prying media..(shoulder shrug)..

We Heat fans don't really expect him to appear until late March as someone has already mentioned. He still appears very fragile so I think the Heat staff is being very cautious about his situation especially with what happened with DRose..

Do Blazers fans hold a grudge against Oden? Yeah he was very unlucky with injuries, but at one point he was partying and not taking rehab seriously, right?

I'd say a very very slight one. It didn't help that Oden bad mouthed Portland on his way out after years of unconditional support. I do think he took his rehab pretty seriously though and don't hold that against him. Mostly, it is disappointment and the thought of "what if" that hurts rather than anything personal. Some Blazer fans root for him while others I think kind of hope he isn't successful now that he isn't on the team. I'm somewhere in between. I want him to recover, be a serviceable starter, but not win a championship (particularly with Miami).

If he was mad they didn't resign him then, well... pretty hilarious.

He travels and trains with the Heat, which shows that they arent worried about the knees flaring up during plane flights. If you get to any Heat game early, on the road or at home, you'll see him go through a pretty extensive pre-game workout.

But the Heat arent gonna rush this. And the proof of that is that even though both Wade and Beasley missed the last game, Oden was still one of the two inactives. They dont wanna put any pressure or expectations on him too soon.

I think by January he'll start becoming active for games (if there are injuries) and then little by little they'll try to find more and more minutes for him in games.

He's actively trying to build up muscle in his knees. Has been very hard at work, trying to get himself to a point where he might get playing time. Having Oden out there for 15-20 minutes a game would do wonders, and make winning a championship muuuuch easier for Miami.

He's hanging out with NBA sized trannys. Guess we figured out the great mystery why he's knees are so bad.

He will have a moment of quality contribution for the Heat before the season is all said and done. I have no doubt.
