I'll watch it because their last movie, Cloud Atlas was, one of the most ambitious movies I've ever seen that hit on so many different notes. It had it all. These directors at the very least are visual creationists for the ages so there will be one aspect that is amazing.

That being said, the two leads aren't that talented to carry a serious Sci Fi story here and I doubt the majority will buy into their character but I could be wrong. Nothing about that trailer has me jumpin up and down but it is the first look so far so who knows?

Cloud Atlas was great, and stands up to repeated viewings, in fact, it's almost required with that movie.

Watched it last night and it rocked. A Movie that kept you on the edge of your seat for sure, and one that should be seen on the big screen.

There were a few plot points that could have changed to make it a much better overall movie. And there were definitely a few hokey things, like a ship forming a crop circle on take off. However from a Sci-Fi, Visual and Action standpoint, this movie is one of the best.

Also all the above plot descriptions are completely wrong.

i was going to watch this today but affter reading RT reviews don't think so. its got bad reviews from critics and fans. critics are overrated but when fans are calling it bad then u know it can't be very good at all.

it sux because there really isn't anything else to see but American Sniper. and i know i'm going to be disappointed in that in relation to the stupid hype based on american soldier, war times, fad hypers :rolleyes: i keep thinking i'll be left thinking Lone Survivor was better than wasting time and paying for American Sniper, if not for the stupid hype. their shit always leads me astray :mad:

the other thing that pisses me off is Seventh Son is getting even worse reviews. between that and jupiter ascending i was hoping one would be at least decent. fukk me fgts.

The two leads that were chosen for jupiter acsending probably dont scream box office success in the u.s. market. Mila kunis might be deemed by fans as someone who has always had the luxury of a strong cinemegraphic team while tatem still be seen as someone who captures a frame/take/shot well, but "maybe" lack the depth as the narrator story teller. - this coming from someone who has yet to seen the son of no one.


As for american sniper and all of its hype, I can only say that the cuts between scenes is what really makes it. The story line itself, is probably an attempt not to offend viewers, with the slight possibility of enlighten those who had the wrong expectations going into this movie.


Edit: I do think that the third lead with the guy from the hawkins movie might help cause an uproar. I also just love picking on tatem, because its like spinning a spinning top.
