For my team the Bulls? I can't name ten... only 3. Durant, Lebron, George, in that order.
For starting a team, for one year?... still can't.
Lebron
Durant
Paul
George
Westbrook
Those are all guaranteed.
Then players like...
Love
Bosh
Harden
Howard
Aldridge
Griffin
Parker
Davis
are all questionable

In principle, I'll take the following over Melo.
LeBron
Durant

However for the Rockets, we need Harden more than Melo seeing our three point guards aren't really playmakers at all Lin, Brooks, Beverly.

Dwight is twice as valuable as Melo. Don't deny it just because Dwight left our team. The Lakers had one of the best records the second half of last season. Kobe and Melo would be a clusterf*ck because you get no defense from Melo and that's what LA needs right now, plus he's a bad fit with Kobe offensively as well.

by no mean a bad player, but hes a cancer,

Carmelo has better stats overall than Howard and Blake tho.
Less rebounds than both. Less dimes than Blake. Worst FG%. Scores 8.2 more points than Dwight, despite 10.4 more field goal attempts per night and 5.5 more minutes. Scores 4.5 more than Blake, despite 5.1 more shots per game and 3.2 more minutes.
Give Dwight and Blake 20+ shots per night and a tick under 39 minutes a night, and their stats would skyrocket. It isn't just the statistics either, its the impact on both sides of the court as well.

Blake and Dwight wouldn't even be able to get 20 shots off. They don't have the repertoire to do so due to their limited offensive skills.

KD would still be a better facilitator and better defender than Melo, even if their FG% swapped. And, KD still wouldn't shoot 30% for nearly the entire playoffs like Melo did last year. His shot selection is atrocious at times, and those times are far to frequent. And, let's revisit Melo going 4-6 games with less than 7 assists...IN TOTAL....in the postseason last year.
KD > Melo, regardless of the jersey they are wearing. This is not even debatable any longer.

That record was thanks to Kobe playing top 4 in the NBA basketball for the entirety of that stretch. I wouldn't place as much as the emphasis on Dwight's play, though he did have a very good March defensively. However, when Kobe went out and it essentially became his team, Dwight wilted.
I agree though. Dwight is definitely more valuable than Melo.

Andre Drummond, DeMarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, Brook Lopez, Charlie Villanueva all have higher PERs :confusedshrug:
So someone who took 16.9 shots as a rook, that has continually expanded and improved on his game, wouldn't be able to add 3 more shot attempts per night. :applause:
Clippers would never consider swapping Blake for Melo. Can say that with 100% certainty. Now, on the flip side, Knick fans are going insane on our rival board trying to do what they can to deal Melo for their own first round pick back.

serious question,
do you think the line up of:
Felton
JR.Smith
Shumpert
B.Griffin
Bargnani
with no bench
would win more? and griffin would produce at least the same stat? (the best shooter in those team is bargnani the center

Melo
Deandre
with sixth man of the year
wouldnt be favourite to win at least the west? (while CP3 goes passive, melo can take over the game)

From what I seems, that reaction has also stemmed from an unwillingness for some fans to give Melo the contract he'll request. Rightfully so; a team will never win a championship with Melo as its best player. #2, definitely plausible. But, best player? No.

In a straight swap, Knicks would be more along the lines of Felton - Shumpert - Artest - Blake - Bargnani with JR coming off the bench. And yes, Blake would easily match his current stats, if not exceed them. Most likely sans FG&%.
And that Clipper squad would not be the favorite's at all. That is a joke. The Warriors front court would obliterate the Clippers. Even Portland with LMA/RoLo up front would be too much. Then you have Denver, Houston & Memphis. Clippers would actually be taking a step back in a swap.

#1 you just takin the only player who can create for himself (JR) and put crazy artest (ask any lakers fans, whenever he carry the ball, even on fast break, we would get heart attack), kill an already awful spacing
#2 Melo isnt a bad defender (not worse than griffin at least), and would provide a better spacing with his triple threat, defensively just like with chandler, i think deandre jordan can hold his ground against most center, and its not like top team in the league has great frountcourt anyway (perkin?joel anthony? old duncan?splitter?)
but yeah thats all i need to know, no point to argue more

#1] Look back at the roster during Blake's rookie year. An injured, shitty Baron Davis who couldn't create for anyone. Mo Williams for half the year, who has never been a creator. Eric Gordon. Chris Kaman. DeAndre Jordan. Where were the creators or the spacers then? They had Novak, but hey, Bargnani can be the "spacer"
2] Melo defending the likes of Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Javele McGee, Dwight Howard, David Lee, Andrew Bogut, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love and even energy guys like Kenneth Faried would be much inferior. Sure, DeAndre can hold his own, but what happens when he picks up two quick fouls? Antawn Jamison and Carmelo up front together? Melo and Mullens? Melo & Hollins? :oldlol:
That deal wouldn't make the Clippers any better, probably make us take a step back.

If the Knicks can somehow land Monroe for Melo if I'm them I'm doing whatever I can to get that deal done as long as Detriot does not throw in 1st round picks.
Chandler/Monroe is really easy to build around and they can sign Monroe for like 55mill for 4-5 years which is way cheaper.
