Brook Lopez #2 :pimp:

It's A VC3!!!

Brook is pretty much averaging exactly what he was the last couple of years.

I'm waiting for Brook to go on a scoring surge of like 25 to 30 points per games for several games in a row. I'm shocked that he's number two though. A lot of other players are having better statistical years. The thing that impresses me about Brook is that he is only averaging 13 field goal attempts per game yet is putting up 21 points per game. To compare how great that is, Carmelo is averaging 21 shot attempts per game yet is only scoring four more points per game than Brook.

Hollinger invented the stat, and bball ref has the same list except they include guys that haven't played meaningful minutes

Greg Smith, Ryan Kelly, and Rasual Butler have played 49 minutes combined.

If PER is so accurate and reflective of what's going on the court, riddle me this: Kings have 2 guys in the Top 10, why do they not have a winning record? :confusedshrug:

Gotta be a career high PER for Beasley.

I don't place much emphasis on this "stat." Monta Ellis has been more pivotal to the Mavs success this season than Dirk IMO, yet Dirk is ranked 12th while Ellis isn't even in the top 30.

Also, It's A VC, don't you think it's about time you stopped making predictions? :lol

Per NBA.com's lineup data, when Isaiah and Cousins are on the floor together they're outscoring opponents by 13.6 points per 100 possession

Christ on a crutch, dude. You have a serious problem, like one that should actually involve professional help.

You and I both know that hes not close to as good as those numbers suggest.. he doesnt take over games with his scoring much and shrinks in crunchtime because other centers just start pushing him around and he doesnt get some of the bs calls hed get earlier.

Brook Lopez+scrubs put up a 12 win season. Thats what he mustered as 'the man'.

he plays only 30 minutes per game though. He is 25 & 8 guy if he could play as much as Howard.

ESPN doesn't account for possessions accurately. Their PER is flawed.

Holy shit at Cousins' usage. This guy is a center and has the highest usage in the NBA?

Going through the years, the last time a center finished in the top 10 for usage was Yao (29.9) in 2007. Then Shaq in 2005 (27.4). None of them were in top 5, tho.

32.6 is slightly higher than LeBron's Cleveland days. 32.2, 32.2, 32.7...

His usage rate is 24% or in the 40's overall.
No reason he shouldn't be top 10 and getting 20 shots any night he wants.

DMC is #1 at 32.5%
Lopez is #44 at 24.2%

The fact he is taking the least number of FGA since his rookie year is a sin.
At least Kidd finally said we need to go inside out through him on Saturday.
Since then he is 21-26 with 56 points and 6 assists. We are also 2-0. (granted it was the Bucks and C's)

I agree that one shouldn't put to much emphasis on this stat, but your example isn't a very good one.

Dirk is still the best player on his team and the main reason why the Mavs are above .500. People just talk more about Monta because he plays so much better compared to last year.

I'd like to see Deron get him some easy baskets. We didn't see that last night but hopefully they can build the connection again. And his 6 assists are huge. He's finally starting to pass out of double teams and that's the next step he can take. His help defense and P&R defense is still weak though. We need to set up a meeting between him and Roy because he he had Roy's help defense and P&R defense, he'd be a beast. Brook is terrific at guarding the rim from dunks and layups but any other aspect of defense is where he stinks at.
