View Full Version : EFFICIENT night by Lebron tonight.....

17/14/6 is a very efficient night. Got some rebounds and scored just enough points to make it into the box scores.

His team lost by 6 points and he failed to hit his average in points.

While very efficient, he can't take over games. Only down by a few points and he airballs a 3 pointer.

Did he dominate? No.

Clutch? Not a damn chance.

But efficient enough to make it look like a 5 on 5 game.

Please tell me the criteria.

Efficient - achieving maximum productivity with minimum wasted effort or expense.

So how is 17/14/6...not efficient?

I'll be waiting.

Or Lebron finals-esque.

Because he scoring 17 points on 37.5 percent shooting is not doing so with minimum wasted effort.

Kobe-esque?

I think Kobe is more clutch and dominant than Lebron. He would have carried the team on his back.

The Heat weren't down a few points and it was time for Lebron to run off 5 straight buckets or 10 plus points. Just get on fire and take over.

The stage was set. It has been set at least 5 times this year in which he kept passing to teammates.:facepalm

:oldlol:

Fool. Bringing up percentages again. I didn't know there was a magical percentage that one must reach before they can be called efficient.

We'll just say Lebron stopped putting "effort."

Where in the handbook does it say you have to hit a certain percentage to be considered "maximum production with little effort" or efficient?

17/14/6 is pretty damn efficient to me but when you watch the game, Lebron is his usual un-clutch and deferring to teammate mode again.

5-16 isn't efficient. He stat pads every game but he went full on statpad mode tonight grabbing 14 rebounds :facepalm

13 out of his 14 rebounds are defensive rebounds, he had little to no impact on this game.

You misquoted the definition. It's "maximum production with little WASTED effort". Wasted effort would be akin to volume shooting. If you take a shot but you miss it, it's a wasted effort.

It's not rocket science, bud.

I don't think Lebron fans know.

I like how fans judge a player's efficiency based on FG% when there are other aspects of the game like rebounds and assists.

I don't expect many on here to grasp the bigger picture that I am trying to paint here.

You have to crawl before you can walk. You can't paint a bigger picture, if you can't grasp this simple concept.

Sorry but even the stupid PER rating system includes everything that I mentioned and even more. I don't agree with that system on judging a player's efficiency but at least they are not exclusive to one category like FG% that people are trying to argue with me about.

I don't go by PER but 17/14/6 is a pretty efficient night. He just wasn't dominant or clutch as usual.

Lebron has been having a lot of efficient nights this year and there is just one game I can remember where he did dominated and won.

Other times he was efficient but fortunately for him, his team is very good to win without him dominating.

He was inefficient, and unclutch. 5 TOs, poor shooting percentage, obviously bothered by Hibbert. He was dominant for short stretches with his passing, but overall had a bad game.

He did play great defense on Paul George, but the combination of George and Hibbert really hurt Lebron down the stretch.

PG blew by him whenever Lebron tried to play him 1-on-1. PG was shut down in the first half by being double teamed the second he touched the ball and by his stubbornness to dribble through/around it instead of immediately finding an open teammate. His coach must have gotten in his ear during halftime, because he made the necessary adjustments in the second half and he and his team played much better as a result.

He played better because he was being guarded by Ray Allen and was being left wide open.

Sad to see Lebron shoot so poorly when he plays real defenses like San Antonio, Chicago and Indiana.

My advise to his fans is to watch Heat games only when they play the Bucks, Bobcats and Cavaliers.

Then you will be sure that while he may not be "dominant" he will be efficient shooting 60%.

AND that's because LeBron couldn't defend him without getting into foul trouble. PG would've had dude sitting on the sidelines in the 4th. :oldlol:
