Worst season of his career. The past 3 years, he was bad. But this is the worst. He can't do anything out there. Can't score and can't play defense. :oldlol:

I absolutely love Pau, but I have to admit he's been a little painful to watch this season at times. I just don't think this is the right environment for him anymore. He needs someone to cover his defensive deficiencies. Everyone posts career nights on him now.

They both took advantage of Pau. Everybody else is gonna do the same. Look out for Kendrick Perkins and Steven Adams to have a career night against him. :oldlol:

no pun intended

If Chauncey Billups has a good chance of being in the HOF. So is Pau.

if you asked me in 09/10, i would have always guessed that pau would have aged gracefully because of his post moves. i remember his ambidextrous hook shots and his amazing finished around the rim. it's like his touch magically disappeared or something. i understand that he's not athletic, but neither was kareem when he was old and he still had the skyhook.

He's been done for 3 years now, should be a nice 3rd big on a contender next year. Think Scola on the Pacers

have you watched pau try to post? it has nothing to do with d'antoni. when brown was playing pau at the high post with bynum, everyone was yelling for brown's head because he didn't put pau at the low post. now that pau's playing center, he's still getting blocked or shooting fade aways that never go in.

is it always the coach's fault? i think that pau really just doesn't have anymore basketball left in him

He's been through 3 different coaches and he's been worse and worse. It's not the system. Dude just needs a change of scenery where fans expect a lot less from him. He won't be the Gasol that we fell in love with ever again :(

You would think Gasol would have aged gracefully having such a soft touch and great down low moves but thats turning out to be complete bs.

exactly, no reason to pay gasol 19 mil a year to do the same

I always loved his game, since Grizzlies days and also playing for Spain. When he was traded to the Lakers (For Kwame lol) I was so happy 'cause I knew Lakers would won titles again and so they did.
But know it's time to let go, he's clearly not himself since 2011 and his defense is ridiculous at this point.

I wish him the best, maybe go back home and play for Barcelona will do him good. I hope he comes to Rio 16 so I can see him play closely.

pau won it all, but it degenerated with the cheating affairs etc and since then he hasnt been the same. He strikes me as a naive, gullible down to earth guy who wasnt designed to be playing bball in ****ing vegas in the first place. He was conditioned to become a doc initially. Anyways, i wouldnt be surprised he got corrupt or got sick of being with corrupt people and lost all will to perform on the court. Who cares anyway, he didnt get a woman pregnant, and is still a multi millionaire who won several nba chip and noone can deny he was the best at this time.

Dude simply doesnt care anymore. And must be quite sick to deal with afro american toug guys/rappers wanabe after all this time. He s too smart for that shit.

oh the horror

I think Shannon Brown pretty much single handily caused cost the Lakers the chance of a 3peat. Pau has never been the same since the 2011 playoffs where they got swept by the Mavs.

He only sucks at Defense. Yawl actin like he some washed up bum. Obviously his success is due to Kobe keeping the attention of the defense away from Pau (Pau also 0-20 in playoff games without Kobe, says it all right there), but Kobe isn't healthy rightnow, so the defense isn't gonna be too scared of Kobe thus attention being paid to Pau.

Pau still The 2nd Most skilled PF in the game behind Dirk. Pau still grabbing boards, still setting up players for good looks, and still is scoring here and there.

Younger players just takin advantage of his suspect defense, so what, Pau isn't done.

OP is clearly a Kobe stan bashing Pau in order to make Kobe look better.

It would be nice to have Pau healthy so he can actually move around the floor at a normal pace... but I just don't think that's going to happen from this point on. It seems like his feet/ankle problems have become chronic.

He still has the skills and the desire to play/compete... I just don't think he can physically keep up. On defense he's just getting lit up by journeymen. It sucks.

Worst defender in the league + shoots 41%. It doesn't matter how skiled he is, his body is done.
