Rules:

48 hours to vote.
1 vote per poster.
Make it clear who you are casting your vote for.
Peak = 1 season + corresponding playoff (i.e., player A's peak lasting 2 years longer than player B's is irrelevant)
You do not need to specify which year (e.g., you can just say who the player is you are voting for)
I will post a new thread for each of the top 10.

Results for #1:
LeBron James

Honestly it's such a close call between 03 Duncan and 04 Garnett.

I'll give my vote to Duncan but it's far far closer than the average casual fan thinks.

Duncan. I'm thinking that LeBron won in voting because he is supported more by younger posters that are likely to have multiple accounts.

Possible, but I've been watching basketball since around 91 and believe LeBron to have a higher peak than Duncan.

Not saying it isn't close, but let's not act like LeBron doesn't have a serious case.

LOL.

I think that would be easily countered by the number of Lebron haters who voted for Duncan just so that Lebron wouldn't win it... even though they might not even remember watching Duncan in the early 2000s.

That is cancelled out by:

1) Nostalgia.

2) Kobe fans who would vote against Lebron just for the sake of it.

This. #3 is tough. KG, Kobe, Wade, Durant, Dirk all have legit cases. Does Tmac count as an active player? Not sure if he officially retired

I know you have a history of trolling and the word "CLEARLY" is your attempt at baiting me, so I won't respond to that part.

What I will respond to is that I do think LeBron has a case for the better peak, but I'm thinking that about 2/3 of the posters here think the answer is Duncan and the 1/3 of the posters that think it is LeBron are more likely to have multiple accounts and used them to vote for LeBron and push him over the top. I obviously don't have any proof of this and I'm just speculating though.

So you think there are 0 Lebron haters (the most hated player in the game) who just voted for Duncan because he was Lebron's opponent?
