Would probably take a first considering the Lakers don't really have any young players they can trade.

Time for this guy

the timing is fitting

our only trade chips of interest would be Pau or Nash, though

Dont know if thats enough to get it done, but Nash seems like a good fit in the sense that TOR wants to tank and nash dealing with injuries means Vasquez will get most of the PG minutes, but when nash does return, being a canada native, he'll draw even more crowds to the games

we'd probably have to take back salary though (which we dont want to, but desperate times call for desperate measures), so we might have to take Fields back

but if we could try and swindle Amir Johnson in a deal, that would be amazing. hes the pick and roll player that MDA's been looking for since the good ol Amare days.

At this point Nash can even barely walk. I don't see why Toronto would want him without getting picks in return(which were squandered on getting Nash in the first place sigh) and I they wouldn't throw in Johnson just for kicks. Only way a Nash for Lowry works is if the Lakers somehow get a an extra pick to send or they take on Novak's deal would would clear out some additional capspace.

Better for lakers. They need to tank and get a good draft pick.

Sweet. In the long run this will only help our team. We need to lose as many games as possible and pray that Stern rigs the draft.

If MDA knew how to run the triangle, this wouldn't be catastrophic. Kobe basically played the facilitator role in the triangle for the majority of his career but... under MDA's up tempo offense... this could be rough. Regardless of style though, Kobe's now going to be playing close to 40 minutes per game starting in his 3rd game, matched up against Westbrook... yikes.

best we can do as a team is to play off him, close the driving lanes and make westbrook shoot from distance. Give him the long ball and hope he's cold.

Not feeling very confident right now.

he was their best player, and next you'll go to okc    25 points blowout at least

Reason why I hate his signing so much. When was the last time he was injury free or gave us a quality season? I can't recall.

God help us if we put Kobe at point guard.

Kobe can be a point forward during this time, sure. but the thing is, its going to be soooo demanding on his body, because the way that kobe facilitates is from the block.

he doesnt have the speed to get around quick defenders anymore, so drives and kicks arent so much an option. but hes great at running the offense from the block. but considering hes coming off an achilles injury, and just how physically demanding it is to play down low like he does while facilitating, it could really hurt this team/kobes recovery.

the team runs so much more efficiently when they have a pg who can drive into the defense while keeping their dribble alive and looking for open cutters/shooters.

Unless the Thunder don't show up we're going to lose by 20 plus, yep.

I wonder if Meeks can play back up point guard. I'd rather start Kobe, Young and Johnson so there would at least have some perimeter defense. Also an easy fix to this solution would be to start Hill.

God help us if we put Kobe at point guard.

Kobe basically played the point guard for the second half of the season last year and we went on a tear and were one of the best teams post-all star break.

obviously he's not fully healthy or up to speed but... he can get it done. I just worry about the damage it's going to do to him, because he's going to go out there and give it everything he's got... which is currently more than his body can deal with
