LA Clippers (And Doc) vs. Brooklyn Nets (And ex Celts) 12/12 8pm Game Thread

I thought I'd make a thread to discuss things since one won't pop up till 3 minutes before game time and this is an interesting game.

Injuries:
Nets: AK47, Terry out.
Clippers: Reddick, Bush, Barnes out.

Clippers coming off win yesterday at Boston, Nets coming off win Tuesday vs. Boston. Clippers currently on long road trip. Clippers on back 2 back, Clippers tired on road, these things should help Nets.

The key to me in this game is tempo. The Nets need to drop the ball into Lopez, play good half court ball, and keep the tempo reasonable. If the Brooklyn crowd is oohing and ahhing at Lob City, the game will go bad fairly quickly.

Note: Deron does work against Paul. Not sure the exact stats but he gets the better of him often.

I expect Paul to have another huge night. Clippers are 8-0 when Paul drops 20+ and 9-1 when Dudley scores in double figures. Need both of them to hit shots. I don't think Jackson is fully in game mode to play back to backs efficiently.

Would really to see Deron resume his stellar play since being back. Very glad that JJ is not playing, he killed us badly last time we played. Hopefully the Nets can limit Dudley and Jamal because Nets are horrid at defending the three point line. The Clippers don't intimidate me one bit so if the Nets can not suck shit on defense, we'll be fine.

This whole game is about if the Clippers feel like running and giving effort. If they are running, Nets are hard pressed to keep up. If they are not, Lopez can pick them apart slowly, JJ too for the 10 minute he's motivated.

Great win for the Nets. Clippers missed a lot of makable shots and Nets made a lot of big shots. Brook was downright awful in this game. His points came off gimmicks and only scored two points off a post up and every other missed attempt was a fade-a-way, forced shot, dysfunctional possession. Anyways, I hope his foot injury does not keep him out for another 40 days. Deron looks so good out there. Anyways, tomorrow is a very big game. Can't have any letdowns especially since Deron, Joe and Kevin played very little tonight.

I think everytime that he's gotten injured it's been because a good quality center was defending him. He can't score on quality centers so that's why the injuries happen. My two cents but that seems to be the case. Anyways, it's a left ankle sprain and I expect him to be out for a few games unfortunately. The nets can never catch a damn break. Just when they were getting everyone back...

I've decided to never visit this site during a game because of VC3.

He has a 10-1 ratio of crying like a bitch to making some sort of fair assessment on the team. He adds nothing but grade school girl drama. This game thread is a perfect example. It was arguably our best game this season yet I see about 3-4 positive or even neutral comments vs. 37 negative ones.
