isnt is convenient to blame MDA for everything? hill gave monster games when coming of the bench and first 2-3 games starting....then he became who he really is....

an energy guy....and started to have ordinary games...or below average...look at his stats last couple of games...then he roles his ankle...

you can have fire sale but nobody is giving u a 1st rounder for hill or wesley johnson or even meeks in next years deep draft....

we need to save $$$ for 1 max guy atleast....

The backcourt is an absolute mess for the Los Angeles Lakers right now. Steve Blake’s injury has the storied franchise scrambling for a solution and that solution may turn out to be veteran combo guard Leandro Barbosa. Former Lakers Darius Morris and Chris Duhon have been mentioned as potential fits, but Barbosa may be the best of the bunch.

I'm just frustrated, but as far as them being weak and injury prone i'm tired of it. All we've got out of both Steve's is that their both consistent on letting their team down 2 years in a row let's face it it's gonna be another long year!:mad:

so far for the month of Dec. He is averaging 9 pts, 7 rebs, 65%Fg at only 18 mins/game.
Last 5 games 10 pts, 7.6 reb, 70% FG at only 19 mins/game.
Last game vs Charlotte, MDA finally used him for 31 mins, collected 9 rebs, 15 pts, missed only 2 of 7 shots.
I was in Staples vs the Raptors when MDA, chose to prioritize Sacre and Williams first, and yet Jordan registered 11 pts, 8 reb at only 20 mins, out performing Pau, Shawne and Sacre.
I get it, Hill is not a stretch 4 that MDA likes, he never played his bigs who can't shoot.
Lakers lost 12 games when he played less than 20 mins while they won 11 when he ave 23 mins.
It's very hard to put up good numbers when you have limited playing time and yes he will have bad games even when he plays more than 25 mins, but I strongly believe that there are several teams out there that can use Hill better.

Barbosa is another one that used to be a good player. He is old and not a point guard. NOt that quick anymore either.

I don't think a fire sale is the answer. Keep those guys who are young and are willing to play a role. Let them develop more. Hill when healthy was very good. It wasn't just a hot stretch. He's not an all-star but he's a solid player. I do think the Lakers will be in a lot of trade discussions though, just not the fire sale type. Like DK said, the Lakers could really use a lottery pick. Get a good young player on a rookie contract and then have all that money the next few years to get some proven talent. That's how it gets turned around.

The Lakers are supposed to have money for the next two years. So I was thinking a very good player this year. Hopefully a superstar next year. Then a lottery pick this year. Plus a good Kobe at the very end of his career for a year might be a team that could contend.
