I never really read comics but i remember when kids would trade spiderman cards and stuff...i had my bball and football cards so i was kinda involved in that stuff in a way, as some kids would ask me to trade some football cards for their spiderman cards. And my favorite character's card was Venom. He/she/it looked bad-ass.

I think he actively tanked it, because he wanted more control. He wanted Mysterio, they forced all that other crap on him. There were a lot of issues if I remember right.

Awesome. I loved Venom back in my comic book days, so much so that I had several of his individual books. At times he had a bit of an anti-hero appeal. Hopefully Carnage is in it!

Could be a combo.Ive been reading up on it for a long time now and they have said they will skip Eddie and Mac and go straight to Flash.It could be the eddie venom story but just flash since he was already in the new movie.

Venom/Eddie Brock is not a good character who can carry a movie. He just has a cool costume.

I know they're trying to go the Avengers route, but the preview for the new Spider-Man film looks like they're trying to cram waaaaaay too many characters in it just to get to the Sinister Six. There's Electro and Rhino in the film, and in the Oscorp building they showed the Vulture's wings, Doc Ock's tentacles, and a very weird femmy Harry Osborn. If they plan on teasing Venom I assume that somehow they're going to shoehorn the symbiote into this film as well. Ramming a ton of shit into a superhero film all at once rarely works well. The Avengers only got away with it because every main character already had a movie introducing them.

Long story short, I don't see how this franchise is going to do a decent Venom film since they seem to be actively throwing all the shit they can find at the wall and hope that enough of it sticks to make a billion.
