Asik is a huge upgrade from Perkins , and would fit well in OKC

Possibly. Just don't expect Houston to take Perkins.

Why would OKC want Asik? Why does this keep getting proposed? The Thunder know that their weakest link heading into the playoffs will be if their young bench can produce enough points to support KD/Westbrook/Ibaka.

So you amplify that weakness by eliminating their best shooter off the bench?

Because they need more of an inside presence, especially if they face Miami in the finals. But I wouldn't be in favor of trading Lamb. Take Asik off Houston's hands for draft picks. Doesn't OKC have two first rounders?

Offensively. Asik doesn't give them that.

Any center is upgrade for Porkins
OKC has Porkins, Thabeet and Derek Fisher on the same team and they still only lost 4 games:roll:

Perkins is fine. He plays his role. Sure he is terrible most of the time, but they might need him against Dwight in the playoffs. And any other player that has low post scoring. If you're gonna have to give up Lamb to get Asik, absolutely cannot do that. Ibaka covering anyone 1 on 1 is a mismatch. He has very low IQ defensively.

What picks do the Thunder have coming up in the next 2 seasons?

OKC is not trading Lamb. Hell you'd be hardpressed to pry Perry Jones from our fingers seeing as he could be a great player in the near future.

It's just not gonna happen with Asik being owed 15 mill next season and us having Steven Adams as our center of the future.

If OKC were able to add Asik, they would become a serious threat to the Heat.

OKC lacks a guy who can protect the paint and be active on the boards and close to the basket.

Asik seems like the perfect fit for that team.

Ibaka

He's not really a banger or a guy who is super active around the basket. Alot of his shots come from jumpshots, not dunking or close range shots...
