Dude fell off big time. Food & Liquor I and the Cool are classics, and Yoga Flame was so hard. First time I heard him was on touch the sky with Ye, he murdered that track.

He's pretty much dead now though. Chief Sosa ethered him.

Thats not true at all, he didn't "fall off" he was at a disagreement with his label and they were restricting what he could put out, the whole lasers album was handed to him and he was told to rap over it and his submissions kept getting rejected because they didn't like it, hes under contract for 1 more album i think and then hes free, once that happens he will drop another album independently that is pure fire, just watch. Someone this talented doesn't just lose their lyrical ability.

Lyrical ability and ability to make a good track are two very different things. I will be surprised if he comes back from the grave and makes even a decent album. Even the bests fall off after a while. Look at Jay and Eminem's most recent albums, lmao.

This! He was forced into todays mainstream garbage... Due to his record label forcing it upon him bitch bad etc. His response to control was the best imo and he is well aware people have forgotten about him. Hence is why he will make a come back. :cheers: :cheers:

I was listening to Lasers and FL2 again today.. And I guess I get why some people say it's wack or corny. Gangsta/Hardcore rap just sounds so much stronger. His sometimes forced positive content, especially on Lasers, doesn't have the same feel.

That said, I still think there are some great songs on those two albums, let alone his first two. Those are classics imo.

Lasers doesn't really compare to his first two, but your right there are still some good tracks, his new one Tetsuo & Youth might be another one that takes on the Lasers route as its another one of atlantics productions.

His response to control might be the only thing of his worth listening to. I've always found him corny and meh. Doesn't have a strong presence on the mic, nor do I find his lyrics anything special considering how much hes hyped for that. Hes no better than most.
