Essentially a 70 win team. East>West.

they match up well with indiana and miami. they essentially got 3 defensive big men while both indiana and miami don't match up well with teams with good bigs

Heat + Pacers have combined this season for a 24-3 home record,

2 of those 3 losses are to the Pistons,

Hoping to spoil a few peoples playoff brackets, first we have to make it there...

The front court is impressive and Jennings is playing smarter basketball.

They have some big expirers, so maybe they can add another wing to their rotation.

If they can move a small contract, Bynum or Jerebko, they will have enough money to make a max offer to Carmelo Anthony.

No, he doesnt. He still plays low IQ basketball, but the only difference is that he has twin towers in the paint to grab all of his bricks. His decisions still make me :facepalm :facepalm

The wins against Miami and Indiana were impressive because they were on the road and those two teams simply don't lose at home very often. But the Pistons are still a work in progress at best. Our defense needs to get alot better, Smith needs to continue to reign in his long jumper/3-Point attempts like he has the last couple games since Cheeks FINALLY told him to stop shooting from deep.

Still need to feed Monroe in the post more, trim Smith and Jennings shots down 2 a piece and give those shots to Monroe in the post. The entire team needs to focus more on defense, like they did last night against Indiana, they need to cut their turnovers down and execute better down the stretch, stop settling for long jumpers and Stuckey/Jennings isolation's instead they should be feeding Monroe in the post, moving the ball more, make extra passes etc., etc. Drummond needs to stay out of foul trouble. Do all that and they could be a good team despite the poor Coaching.

So to answer the question, the Pistons were impressive last night but as for the entire season, not at all.

Who's better: Kyle Lowry or Brandon Jennings?

Maybe Detroit will look to trade for Lowry - they have CV's big expirer to send out and then maybe a 2nd round pick.

Not really...

Their losses this season:

Memphis (Overtime)
Indiana
OKC
Portland twice (1 Overtime)
Golden State
Lakers twice
Atlanta twice (Josh Smith benched in 2nd game)
Chicago
Miami
Minnesota
New Orleans

Sure there is maybe 4-5 games against teams they should have beat... and 2-3 games they blew for sure, but it isn't like they've had an easy schedule so far.

If Josh decides not to shoot those 3 pointers, then yes they would actually.

Take that away, and Josh is an elite player.

Based on pure talent they are easily the 3rd best team in the East (Drum, Moose, Smoove, Jennings and KCP) , they should have easily beaten a fully health Memphis team as well had one of the big's not made the worst offensive interference on a Josh Smith hook shot I have ever seen and should have probably should have beaten Portland.
