Are his numbers starting to come back down to reality, or is he simply slumping a bit and will pick back up?

Paul George's last 3 games:

4/11
2/12
4/14

Combined: 10/37 (27% FG)

Points:
17
10
17

Average:

14.66 ppg on 27% FG

I feel it's just a slump and he will pick things back up, but I don't think he will average 25 ppg when the season is over.

For reference's sake, last year Paul George's averages were:

17.4 ppg on .419 FG%

He'll definitely pick it back up... He'll end up averaging around 21 for the year

This

He's not really an elite scorer. To me he's like a Scottie Pippen type of player.

Tired of the fcking clowns in the media acting like he's even challenging Durant for #2 (even tho Durant is #1)

KD playing much better, leading team to same record vs much tougher opponents. Also shit on PG in h2h matchup

Aren't the Heat set on resting Wade for the playoffs? Wade was just as big as LBJ during that run.

Coming back to earth tbh.

At the start of the season, he was shooting 15% higher from mid range compared to last year.

Right now his FG is 46.6/41.6/84.8. I expect the numbers to revert toward to his career mean.

George is a top 10 player in the league, not top 3. He is not touching LeBron right now.

And he never will be on par with Lebron.

And he never will be on par with Lebron.

He's only 23...

That awkward moment when you realize LeBron, at the same age, was clearly much better, as was Durant, so I never understood this potential talk with him, in regards to surpassing those two.

It's just the media causing all this shit.

At this point in the season last year Melo was the leading MVP candidate...

He'll pick it up, everyone has slumps.

But he's taking a lot of jumpers too, he should be playing closer to the basket where his length bother his defenders more.

Lebron at age 23 (2007-08 NBA Season). 30/8/7 on 49 FG%.

You can say that is better than most players have ever been. By most, I mean every single player post Jordan, not named Shaq, as far as regular season production is concerned.

he fell in love with his jumpers. he was getting way too cocky with it and forget that all shooters have slumps. Shit he was so cocky earlier in the season, he didnt even watch the ball go in and just ran straight back on defense.

He's playing with a minor injury on his hand or finger. Its nothing major but it is affecting his scoring.

He is coming down from shooting like a god from midrange. I don't know what were people expecting with the way he does not get to absket or on the line.

i thought this was wanted from perimeter players. Not them staring at the ball go in while making the "balling" body motion :coleman:

Heat trapping and swarming defense shook him something fierce, took 2 games to recover, will see more monstrous games from PG24 soon.
