It's a bunch of misses, and TO in the first quarter? That doesn't have anything to do with why they lost. He shot 48%. This should be a video of him passing the ball to Wade over and over, or standing around, never receiving the ball on a play.

Will go down as one of the biggest chokes by a superstar in sports history. He just flat out didn't bring it.

Shooting high percentage on low volume doesn't automatically mean high percentage on greater volume. He didn't shoot as much because it was too much pressure, in 2011 he didn't have enough go to mid range scoring skill, and he lacks confidence to insert his will on the game.

He wasn't shooting fine. He'd miss his first 2 shots in the 4th lose his confidence an hide for the rest of the quarter.

He had an 8 point game.. He could have won them the series by shooting more and hitting more shots 41% on aggressive play and actually trying to win is better than 48% while playing like a *****

Dude would literally miss a few shots to start the game and then would just not want the ball anymore.

Shooting high percentage on low volume doesn't automatically mean high percentage on greater volume. If you're scoring 10 ppg lower than your average, and you're still shooting a high percentage, then you aren't shooting enough.

He didn't shoot as much because it was too much pressure, in 2011 not enough go to mid range scoring skill, and he lacks confidence to shrug off obstacles to push forward while inserting his will on the game.Right.

The Spurs won't ever make it into the NBA Finals ever again until 2014 Duncan plays like the 2013 Tim Duncan in the regular season, and in the playoffs.

That 30 second clip of Duncan is basically how Lebron played for an entire finals series

What is the point you are trying to make? Duncan is at the very end of his career, 37 years old and he's never had a Finals series nearly as horrible as 2011 Lebron. :lol

Stick to the subject, homer.

if Ray Allen missed that shot, this guy would be known to be the biggest failure of all time in the finals. He played like 2011 in the 2013 series.. people only ignore it because they eventually won.

This. People don't even recognize that Lebron was in clear desperation chuck mode before Ray hit that three. I believe the reason the ball ended up on that side of the floor in the first place was because Lebron clanked an awful three, Bosh tipped the ball to the corner, and the rest is history.

Yes Lebron missed the 3 before Ray hit that shot, but he also drained a 3 with 20 seconds to go.

How can people hate on Lebron for not being 'dominant' in games, then come out and accuse him for being in desperation chuck mode? He scored 16 points in the fourth quarter.

Because he's biased towards Lebron. The fact that he's agreeing with one of the worst posters here just solidifies that.

Bias on an internet basketball forum, who would of thought :oldlol:

So where do we go with the conversation? You want people to ignore the bad stuff, but only praise him for the good? Is that how it works?

He escaped one big bullet.

Heat fans like to ignore the lucky escape he had. He really didn't play the Spurs all that well and had it ended in game 6, we wouldn't be talking about Lebron's epic game 7.

Answering the OP, yeah big choke job. He's very lucky that the basketball gods have shined on him since and that Jesus saved him.

Dude, stop with the straw man. I'm talking about a guy who, like you, looks for every little thing to complain about when it comes to Lebron. I don't know about you, but as far as I'm concerned, when people go around saying a player got "bailed out" by some role player and they think they're being witty by doing so, I don't tend to care much for their opinion.

And before that he had like 3 straight turnovers to let the Spurs back in the game. I've seen someone post the play by play from that game. Ray Allen literally saved him from himself.

If you weren't a Heat fan and didn't have bias, you would be able to see what others see in Lebron.

Then what exactly do you want to call it? If it's not bailed out, what is it?

How about taking the whole game into account for starters? He was having a great 4th Q up until the last minute or so. Does him missing that shot discount everything he did before?

Or how about just giving credit to Ray Allen for making a great shot without bringing some stupid agendas into play?"Bail out" is such a stupid term to use in sports and just shows you care more about the individual rather than the team. Anyway, I gotta get to sleep.

Sure, he played well in stretches. But what are we grading him as? A possible alltime great, playing in a superteam? Or are we grading him as a good player who is an underdog in the series?

He is recognised as the best player in the game, he will cop criticism if he doesn't measure up to that. Part of measuring up to that is standing up when needed and coming through in the clutch. Which is what people are critical of him for, fence sitting or scared of the moment. We expect our stars to take over a game when it's on the line.
