Pretty crazy to see these numbers compared to someone like Warren Buffet. Rockefeller had $192 billion.

Yeah those guys back then were beasts, especially the 4 OG's, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Vanderbilt, JP Morgan, pure capitalism!
I love this Andrew Carnegie quote:
"The most comfortable, but also the most unproductive way for a capitalist to increase his fortune, is to put all monies in sites and await that point in time when a society, hungering for land, has to pay his price"

Actually it isn't inflation adjusted but adjusted for the % of GDP that their wealth accounted for.
Land ownership, natural resource ownership, bankster debt money privilege, intellectual property monopolies, and so on. Even the Waltons only got that rich because of all the zoning favors they got from local governments and massive taxpayer funded subsidies via land rent.
Bunch of parasites. :lol

Parasites? they are the American dream
Well, if the American dream is to make as much money as possible with as little contribution to actual wealth creation as possible or not at all whatever. The way to get really, really rich is not wealth creation, it's rent seeking. The most popular way to go about that is by owning economic opportunities that would otherwise exist anyways and then charge others for permission to take advantage of them.

Capitalism is survival system. Every man for themselves
That would be the way of the subhuman animal and the sociopath.

I was half joking with my posts in this thread...
But wow that actually looks really interesting, I'm going to read it in a bit, thanks for that.

I only glanced over the beginning a bit, but so far it reads a sociopath's bible.

It sounds harsh but most of it is true, especially this
Only winners, the strongest, fittest, survive and write history and the rules, and the modify them to to please them as they go
I'm not strictly against socialism, healthcare imo should be socialized

There are options other than capitalism and socialism, you know. Also, socialized healthcare is not socialism. That's just bending the meaning of the words socialism and socialize. That's just equivocation.

Man, it must've sucked to be a billionaire in the early 1900s (or any earlier).

The problem with the idea that the 'strong' will rise to the top, is the assumption that everyone starts on the same level, or is even playing the same game. I've pretty much coasted through life because of the opportunity awarded to me by my parents. Now, I consider myself an intelligent, hard working person... but would I be where I am today without the opportunities provided by my parents? Maybe, maybe not.
It takes money to make money, and people who start the game with little or nothing are at a major disadvantage.
