Not speaking for Blazers fans, but I think you've gotta go with Roy till Lillard has a couple seasons and playoffs runs under his belt

Roy was a better player, without a doubt.

People do overrate him now that he isn't playing, but he was better than Lillard.

Roy was GREAT but Lillard is headed that direction too.

Still can't believe the Blazers got him for Gerald freaking Wallace. Mind boggling.

He was on his way to being the best SG in the league. :confusedshrug:

Roy might have been better. But, he also was starting on his long line of injuries by this point in his all too short career.

As if Roy had playoff runs.....Dude never got out the first round and was only a Top dog type player in 1 series like ever, and even in that series, he was still average. The next 2 playoff app. he didn't even score more than 10ppg I believe. Alls Lillard got to do is make the playoffs and not be an injury prone pusse. I use to like Roy wen he played, but it seems after he left, the epic overration of him has become unbearable.

I've been thinking about this lately and I always come back to Roy being the best player I've ever seen play for the blazers. People forget Roy used to fill the stat sheet. Near triple doubles all the time. As he declined he put up better scoring numbers but fewer boards and assists. Roy was better than lillard. I think lillard is better for team chemistry. He's much better off ball. Lillard fits better with Lma

I'm a young Blazer fan who got to see Roy's and Lillard's whole careers (so far for Lillard). Lillard is my favourite player in the game currently. He's amazing, and it's awesome many other people are starting to see that too. But Roy will always be my favourite player of all time. Not just his skills, but his leadership was just awe inspiring. A terrific, terrific player. He wasn't a superstar like Lebron or Kobe, but he was just damn good.

Killed me watching roys knees go. He was smart enough and clever enough to get his stats without hardley ever being faster stronger quicker or more atheletic than other top guys. With decent knees he would have been allstar caliber fora decade. Lillard needs to work on his finishing where his fgprct gets killed. A floater will be huuuuuge for him. Long term lillard will take it. "If" roy was still healthy I think hes top dog though

Roy is top 10 Blazer sure. Clyde "The Glide" Drexler takes the cake though as the best player the franchise has had.

Lillard is playing great but he's got a ways to go.

Roy could have well been the best SG this season, and in top 2 talks in the last couple season.

Without a doubt. 2009 Roy was better than any SG this year, and Roy should have improved and been better by this point.

Don't knock Brandon Roy. That man is a baller, unfortunately cursed by injuries.

Roy is easily a better player 1on1. His crossovers were sick. Kobe said he was the hardest person to guard in the league. That being said, Lillard is better for the blazers. The team was built around Roy, which was iso and let him go 1on1. With Roy gone, LAs game developed and this portland team shares the ball.

That's called vintage Roy. Why? Cause he was doing that all day, very Clutch and as high IQ a player there is.

Him and Penny are amongst my favorite guards I've ever seen. And as for now, Lillard might be gaining and he is but Roy was just on another level of play. Lillard is on his way though. In a way, he's like Iverson to tell you the truth.
