View Full Version : Biggest Lebron choke: 2007 finals or 2011 finals?

Its really difficult question in my opinion. In 07 he faced historically weak competition that wings like Kobe, KD and Wade couldve carried to finals in pathetic east and got exposed in the finals.

In 07 he avg 22/7/7 with 6 turnovers per game. He shot 35% from the field, 20% from 3pt land and 69% for free thros. His numbers were even worse in the 4th quarter where he got shut down

In 11 he was the favorite having one of the most stacked teams ever and avg 18/7/7 with 4 turnovers per game. He shot 47% from the field:applause: , 32% from 3pt land:( and 60% free throws:eek: The disparity in 4thQ production is well documented. Simply put Dirk took a bunch of shits inside his mouth.

Is that what it has come to? Dissing a 22 year old who dragged his team to a Finals they never had any place being in?

So if he got lucky to the Finals, then how are you going to sit here and rip him for being destroyed by the Spurs? Be consistent. You're making zero sense.

2007 was simply a one-man team who shouldn't have been there anyway, runs into the vastly better team who was completely focused to stop the one guy.

2011 on the other hand was a shameful choke job.

2011 by far.

The 07' Cavs were simply overmatched. Even if Lebron had played really well, they still would have lost.

The 11' Heat was a different story. Lebron choked and they lost.

This is why it's fustrating to criticise a player fairly, before some bullshit like this pops up.

No he didn't choke that series. I respect Cleveland Lebron.

Damn, gettin swept like a b!tch or choking in 4th quarters?....hmmm....I chose 2011, dat shit crazy...

Also yawl givin LeBron excuses for gettin swept because "he was young", yet over hyped him when he had that game vs the Pistons:biggums:

Yet same LeBron stans don't give 22 year old Derrick Rose that same benefit of the doubt even though he faced their cowardly boy, and a Heat team more stacked than the 2007 Spurs. Offensively, and defensively.

Damn I didn't even think about that, these Bron stans a bunch of hypocritical pansy ass f@ggots.:oldlol:

Well OP can let me know from his own experience of what is a bigger 'choke job' in his life.

never finishing highschool or living at his parents basement claiming disability cheques at 40yrs old and obese.

Get a room you 2 fa99ots.

Lebron didn't lose because he was "young", his team lost because they were vastly outmatched. And although Lebron was good enough to have dragged them there, he wasn't good enough to drag them further. It's simple as that.

His 2007 poor effort
The 2010 epic quit against the celtics.. Underrated IMO
2011 famous finals disappearing act
2013 pretty weak performance, if not for Ray he's the biggest joke ever.

Hmmm so many good moments to choose from:bowdown:

It was easier to spot Waldo than Lebron in the 4th quarter of 2011

But he could of played better, and thats what this thread is about.

The problem with LeBron in these big games is he doesn't trust his jumper and he consistely shows that he's not willing to do anything other than take it to the teeth of the defense 90% of the time.

2011 is definitely the worst, but 2007 is amazingly overlooked by almost everyone and I don't understand why because it is the worst overall performance by a superstar in NBA finals history. Puts 2004 Kobe against the Pistons to shame. :lol

2011

but being up 3-1 in the first round then choking the series in game 7 is the GOAT choke tho.

2007 was not a choke. He was young and had no supporting cast

I give Lebron a pass on the 2007 Finals. He was young and inexperienced and faced a much, much better team in the Spurs.

2011 though, was absolutely terrible. And then we can put the choke job against the Celtics in 10 in as well. That was very disappointing.

2013 Finals almost topped them all though. If the Spurs had won game 6 his legacy would have been tainted forever. Not by the fact that they would have lost (although this would be bad as well), but how his mental insecurities kept messing with him, even in his 10th season.

Lebron actually improved his game after game 3 of the 2013 NBA Finals. He was by far the best player in that series.

Unbelievable

You want to talk about game 5? :facepalm

HE SHOT 36% !!!!!!

And yes, he statpadded shamelessly in game 4, the game that Dwayne Wade was dominating.

Pathetic.

Wade did >> Lebron that game, but Lebron had ~25 points, 10 boards and 4 assists before he began his "stat padding". 25/10/4 is definitely not a bad game.

But he was not the best player on the floor.

He was basically the best for the last 5 qtr of the finals.

And four of those came because of Ray.

He still was good and he didn't play the way he did, Miami would've lost game 4.

Also, I don't remember Allen going 7-10 for 16 points in the 4th to keep Miami in the game.
