But can anyone with a straight face tell me they like Jay Z anymore? It's cringeworthy. Just saying.

What are you trying to say? Jay Z's fallen off?

Oh man, well wait till you hear other rappers WAY worse than Hov these days. You'll actually be happy that you don't follow rap.

I like Jay Z but he IS overrated. Hes made some hip hop classics but for every great song hes put out hes made 128382 shitty horrible songs where he puts 0 effort in.

He's not even trying at this point. MCHG was trash and yet it gets constant radio play around here. just makes me like jay even less at this point

Its obvious his quality has fallen but its at the point where I can't even stand to listen to him. He is obviously living off his name but I was wondering if there was anyone that can stand any of his new stuff.

The piano on Somewhereinamerica sounds so familiar. I've been trying to figure out where I first heard it for the past few months.

That track was all Em.
Prime defecating on prime Jay. Would you expect any different?

Jay Z is a pop star, Em is a rapper. Theres a difference.

I like 'Heaven' and it's really no comparison to that and a piece of shit like 'SomewhereInAmerica'. That song is terrible in all facets to me

That's how you can tell how much effort he puts into his shot now :oldlol:
Tbh the only reason why I still have Magna Carta is because of the beats

@rocsteady can't agree with you, heavens makes my ears bleed.

I like the beat a lot, very haunting yet kinda ethereal like it's subject matter. I like the voice on the hook too, pretty affective.

However, I just listened to it for the first time in a few months and Jay's verses did nothing for me this time around.

Somewhere in America is the worst song on Magna Carta. The piano is good, every other thing about that track is a chore to listen to...well that Instagram line is pretty clever.

That 'twerk, twerk, twerk Miley twerk' part makes me want to punch somebody.

It's a shit song that just comes off as filler, nothing to it. It's not even a good club/dance song like Tom Ford

Take out Em's verses and Jay's are still good, its just that Em's verses are ridiculous

Jay-Z has never been that good. Extremely overrated just like Tupac. Jay is so mediocre lyrically.

I'm sorry but Tupac wasn't overrated.
