I'm from OKC and can say from the bottom of my heart that this place sucks dick. I mean, in every aspect.

Nothing good about the city. Not a damn thing.

So other than OKC, what is the shittiest city?

LA?

Toronto.

World's smallest big city. Nightlight has decreased over the last 5 years to being almost non-existent. 2am cutoff for alcohol. 3rd worst city in north america for traffic congestion (only behind Vancouver and Los Angeles afaik). Terrible weather (-47C was the worst I've felt there) and surprisingly, the women are as cold as the weather. Careful trying to converse with the broads here, the majority of guys in Toronto are entitled douchebags that treat women like trash, which has made majority of women into inapproachable shrews. Housing is overvalued. 9-5 jobs are often 24/7 jobs since everyone works the grind and employment laws benefit the employer, so being fired without reason is LEGAL. Crack smoking mayor.

Happy Holidays though!

I agree with a lot of this, but it's not the shittiest. I live in the GTA city of Mississauga, so I don't really get a lot of interaction when I am in Toronto, unless it's an occasion or I'm working.

The traffic is never going to be great, unless you want to take the 407. The women I agree the most, but you can definitely find a good crowd of them somewhere. The whether is usually random here. You're always going to run into douchebags, can't get away from that.

Yeah man, I've read that article. This dude, above anyone else, can make this a fair call given how much he's traveled. So his opinion should not be taken with a grain of salt. I've done my fair share of travel as well (10 countries just last year among many others in my life) and I gotta be honest, the most social and outgoing people I've come across have been in Greece. The problem I have with Toronto is that anytime I go out with friends, the social circle is limited to just us... it doesnt go beyond ourselves and if it should happen, its a very awkward vibe because its unexpected.

Nightclubs definitely have been on the downfall. Ever since city council (i believe) has made an effort to rid Toronto of the richmond/peter clubs in exchange for condos, nightclubs have disappeared. I've been told everyone now goes to Vaughan in order to hit the clubs. But I'm not driving that far just to socialize with a bunch of top 40 music loving twenty year olds with a teenagers mentality.

To me, this is weird. MIL has a great lakefront and some incredibly fun things to do (the domes botanical garden for example). Sure, it has some crap neighborhoods, but so does everywhere.

I maintain that if you go to anywhere in the world with an open mind towards the experience and some reasonably knowledgeable person helping you plan the time there, you will enjoy it. Most of the "best" or "worst" is all hype based on what others have told you about a place rather than your own well-executed experience.

Miami is also directly adjacent to the coast and has the beaches, while Orlando is inland (though even then you aren't all that far from the coasts).

Orlando is still definitely better than a lot of other NBA cities. But if I'm a young draft pick fresh out of college, Miami is the better choice- and not just for basketball reasons.

I'm from Australia and have done a fair bit of travel within the US, both via RV and staying in hotels, so I've seen the good and bad areas.

I wasn't a huge fan of Miami to be honest, though some of the beach front bars etc were pretty cool. Everything on the other side of that long ass bridge looked pretty awful to me and like something from a drug cartel movie.

Also didn't think New York was special but some people love it so meh.

Detroit and Chicago were scary, especially for someone that's used to being able to walk anywhere at anytime without the slightest concern.

Utah was boring.

Everyone looks emo in Portland.

LA was like a giant parking lot.

Loved Boston - Would move there in an instant.

Loved San Fran (probably the highest amount of 7+ out of 10 women I saw in the country)

Loved New Orleans - Not a fan of the constant smell of weed though.

LA was like a giant parking lot.

Loved Boston - Would move there in an instant.

Loved San Fran (probably the highest amount of 7+ out of 10 women I saw in the country)

Loved New Orleans - Not a fan of the constant smell of weed though.

Loved Dallas and Oklahoma

You loved Oklahoma but thought Utah was boring? :wtf:

Doesn't sound like you gave Utah much of a chance. What did you do while you were there?

Thread depends on OP's definition of shitty. If it refers to things like crime, economic viability, etc., that's one thing. If it refers to excitement/things to do, that's another. It also depends on what is considered an "NBA city;" take Golden State for example. Are you talking about the entire Bay Area or just Oakland?

I will only weigh in on NBA cities I've been to. I've been to every Western Conference city except Minneapolis, and I've been to Chicago, New York, Boston, DC, and Philly. My personal least favorites? New Orleans, Houston, Oakland.

Chicago.

50% chance you'll die each day living there.

This is true. Half the population of Chicago dies every day. The only way they keep up is Chicagoans breed like rabbits.

During that last year of the second threepeat, Phil Jackson had a total of 238 players wearing Chicago uniform, because his backups kept dying.

Phoenix is on the boring side of things for tourism, but the great side of things as far as living here. If you enjoy eating out at restaurants, this place is a paradise for that. There's not a ton of exciting "touristy" things to do in the Phoenix area though. There are a lot of casinos/night clubs/bars but that isn't really my thing. There are a plethora of golf courses as well but again, not my thing. There are some decent music venues though. Most of Phoenix is just suburbia. Tons and tons of malls, restaurants, bars, etc everywhere you go.

As far as quality of life though, it's really great for the money. Mid-to-high end housing is really cheap compared to most of the bigger cities in the US, groceries and restaurant food is cheap here, the weather is easily some of the best in the US, it's a great place for raising kids/etc. There just aren't a lot of "amazing" things to come to Phoenix for unless you really love the desert or want to take a trip up to see the Grand Canyon(which is at least 2 hours north of Phoenix anyways)

If you do hard drugs though, you'd probably love Phoenix like no other. lol Ecstasy/heroin/coke/speed/pills are rampant here, though alcoholism is king. Also pot is probably going to be legalized here soon. Phoenix is an extremely party-happy city. Especially with the younger crowd. ASU is one of the biggest party schools in the US. It's no wonder why so many young people are always getting trashed here though... there's not a whole lot for young people to do here other than party and get f***ed up.

Stealing a team from Seattle and moving it to that OKC outhouse devalued the whole NBA.

I'm not sure if I believe OP is actually from OKC. This isn't the biggest city in the world but it's far from a shit hole. The "hick" stuff is also hilarious considering I'm a young black male born and raised in OKC with plenty of other minorities as well. A lot of people get the city of OKC and the state culture confused. This would be similar to saying that Phoenix is a dustbowl because there are deserts in and around Arizona. That's completely false, and PHO is a great city. I understand the ignorance though since OKC has come out of nowhere and is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Nothing major, just thought I would share my 2 cents.

Don't get it twisted, Milwaukee and Cleveland are hella depressing :oldlol:

if the Pistons actually play in Detroit then Detroit is the clear answer
That's the thing they don't, they play in Auburn Hills a suburb. Don't you kids follow basketball besides debating Kobe>Lebron :rant

I don't get it either. Toronto i one of my favorite cities to go to while on business. The women are much hotter as a whole than any major city in the US. The selection of restaurants there is awesome. Traffic is horrible though.

notice any city that is overly infatuated with their team...As in, their team defines their city and they got nothing else but that.....are usually the shitty ones.

San Antonio, OKC, Sac, Phoenix at one time, Indianapolis, etc. etc.
