View Full Version : Paul george cant score on lebron when they play the heat

I swear george only scores when lebron is sitting/in foul trouble and has to switch off of him

LeBron James either scored or assisted on 15 of the Heat's 26 points in the 4th quarter Wednesday. However, it was his play on the defensive end that left a mark on the Pacers. James denied Paul George the ball on 2 of the final 3 possessions and stole a George Hill pass intended for George to help seal the game. George was 3-of-9 shooting with 2 turnovers when guarded by James. In their first meeting on December 10th, James held George to 0-of-4 shooting and 3 turnovers

i noticed that too. the only time george scored on lebron was when there was miscommunication between lebron and chalmers and it left george open on 3 pt line.
George really has to work on his passing and ball handling. He should try to play point forward for at least short stretches because heat denies their bigs the ball in post as indiana doesn't have any good point guard.

People just expecting him to be clutch like the next Kobe or something.

same as last Indiana/pacers game...LBJ has him on lock and he doesn't score until he gets Ray Allen trying to guard him.:coleman:

He also got Derrick Rose'd in Game 7 of the 2013 Eastern Conference Finals. He'll never be as good as Lebron. Even a 19/20 yrs.old Lebron was a superior player than PG.

This is pure comedy and fiction. Off course people only score on Lebron when he is on the bench :lol

PG not catching a pass that happened to fall to Lebron hands because he was already behind PG ( Dat defense) = Steal :lol

Lebron again benched himself after missing a three and never again took a shot, too scared, he was carried by his teammates once again. bu-bu-bu he made assists... even Beno Udrih would make assists on this heat team, pretty hard to make assists when you passing to Ray Allen :lol

Someone post Paul George gif blowing by Lebron and dunking on his teams existence.

Yes, Knicks fans. Sorry we haven't disappeared. We are sports fans and entitled to an opinion.

At least we are loyal, not jumping from the Cavs to the Heat to the next team he colludes with.

So a dunk neggates the fact that PG has been having tons of trouble scoring on LeBron? I'm a PG guy before he became a superstar. The fact that he's been having bad games while being defended by LeBron is rather alarming. No ****ing dunk gif makes it better you moron.

Lebrons d on George was amazing in game 7 of the playoffs last year so that is no surprise. I didnt see the game yesterday because I have lost interest in the regular season but yeah those stats are no surprise.

It looks like Lebron has the uppers edge over his two rival sfs Durant and Paul George.

It feels like the only time he scores is on a 3 after a missed rotation. George scoring on LeBron is pretty rare. Good player, but he ain't got shit on The King.

yep..all of his points are when lebron switches off of him/broken play/transistion. He almost never scores directly on lebron when in iso.

George played well but Lebron was going 100% on D against him. When Lebron's putting in serios effort on defense there's few players who could still go off efficiently. Not a knock on George, if he was on fire he would have lit LeBron up like he had bargnani guarding him. But on a regular night, LeBron can hold him

Once again: this is completely made up. I'll repeat my earlier post:

Stop this nonsense: it is completely made up. I just went and watched through all of George's FG's, and when Bron was on him he shot 6-10; when Wade was on him he shot 1-4. Bron left him wide open 4 times (of which he made 3) - and several times PG missed shots after getting around Lebron.

Look for yourself:

http://stats.nba.com/gameDetail.html?GameID=0021300369

Stop making up bs.

The guy isn't even counting the times Bron left him wide open as when he was defending him :lol

So what's the problem? He plays good D on a 3rd year player in a game 7. What was Lebron doing in his 3rd year? He also fouled George on a 3 pointer at the end that was not called last night. If that was officiated against anyone other than Lebron, the refs call a foul. Lebron is allowed to hack Durant at the end of a Finals game to change momentum in a series.

Refs let him get away with murder at the end of games. Meanwhile they call Wade for fouls.

I guess only Lebron can foul at the end of games. Imagine Stern's face if they call a foul on Lebron

He blew by him several times, and also split the double team a few times, and also lost the ball a few times while trying to do so but that's not just a credit to Lebron. Lebron, on the other hand, only looked aggressive when Luis fuc*king Scola was on him.:lol

I don't know about those stats, but Wade undoubtedly did a far better job on George. He always does, yet Spo insists on playing Lebron on him.

If he was smart, he'd put Bron on West, since he shuts him down bad. Last time Spo put Bron on West, I forgot the guy was in the game. Think it was during game 5 or 6 that he tried it out. Wade was kicking George's ass last night, and throughout the ECF last year whenever he was on him.

Yeah, Wade always defends George well, largely because George doesn't yet have a strong post game to exploit his height advantage. In the 4th quarter it should be Wade on George, LeBron on West, and Battier on Stephenson.

I can't believe it got to page 3 before someone finally posted the truth. It's RARE that Lebron guards Paul George straight up. They have defenders flanking Lebron all the time giving PG little space to operate and in the first game they trapped George constantly. In contrast Lebron did nothing against George one on one in the 2nd half of the game played last week when Lebron had a ton of space to operate. The stories made up about Lebron's defense are compete bullshit to be honest.

When Hibbert and West were feasting I kept saying, "Play LBJ, Wade, Allen, Birdman, and Bosh!" and Spo finally ran that line up and they were able to contain West.

That would be the starting 5 I'd run: James, Wade, Bosh (duh) Anderson to negate West's size and for rebounding/some shot blocking, and Ray Allen or Mario Chalmers to space the floor and nail 3s. Battier just can't seem to guard West, the size advantage is too much for him, and he hasn't been shooting the 3-ball too well, either.

Agreed, George is clearly a better player but Hibbert is a bigger match-up issue. Who knows maybe Oden could body him by playoffs if he gets on the floor and is ready by then.

It's cause you have to leave the first few pages for all the trolls to fight amongst their many alts. Then they get bored and the people who actually have decent thought out opinions and common sense can discuss real basketball.
