Watched a lot of him at UNC... Dude can pass and that's about it. He can pass the shit out of the ball, though. UNC fell apart when he went out with an injury in the tournament a couple of years ago. One of the most gifted passers I've ever watched.

Top 3 vision in the NBA, but slower than 38 year old Nash on the defensive end.

With the way the Lakers were playing early this season, he should fit in on offense perfectly.

Isn't he like really slow as shit? So it was basically a waste of a pick.

very good passer. slow as hell and unreliable jump shoot. I guess he could thrive in MDA offense though with the tempo being so fast like it was at UNC

Did his jumpshot/shooting improve anything since his college days? I have only really seen him in the NBA (don't really follow college as much as I should or would like to), has it improved at all in 2-3 years or still just the same?

For what it's worth, he shot 3PTers at an efficient clip in the D-League this season. 19 for 41, to be exact.

I stopped watching him a lot after his first year with the suns. He wasn't getting much burn didn't really have an impact. Watching back then he didn't improve so Im not sure how he is now.

That's not a bad rate at all then, shows he can at least at D-League level, was that just due to reduced talent/defense or do you think he could be a decent shooter in the NBA given time or was it just a result of being in the D-League, saw his stats were like 19 and 9/10 or something for his time there?

I would take D-League performances with a grain of salt. It doesn't translate well in the big leagues. Remember that the Lakers once had the D-League MVP Goudelock in their team. Let's just wait and see how Marshall does with the Lakers, especially with the different system and whatnot.

If you're interested to see the circumstances in which he shot them, here's a clip of his D-League debut, where he made 5 3PTers.

His unreliable jumper along with his lack of athleticism, will put his overall worth down in this perimeter driven league.

A pansy Andre Miller he is.

Surprised no one has given him a chance.. Bronzeys dad is a good defender and can create his own shot..

Lakers skimping out costed them big time this time. They should've picked up Marshall the moment Steve Blake went down with the injury rather than put Bryant at PG. Trying to save pennies may end up setting Kobe back a whole nother year.

Also, I want D'Antoni gone next season. He doesn't know how to manage his player's minutes. Guy's just trying to win games in December, he doesn't think big picture. :facepalm

I think he's legitimately black balled after whatever happened with the Mavs.

He's a very capable player, an above average defender with a good jumper. Plus he's only 30 and has good playoff experience.

This has been a pretty depressing year. Nash remains injured. Gasol supposed to make noise in his statement year but doesn't. Kobe goes down twice.

I'm trying to remain optimistic..

Lakers should try the following lineup:

PG: Henry | Marshall
SG: Meeks | Young
SF: Johnson | Williams
PF: Gasol | Kelly
C: Hill | Sacre

Give guys like Marshall and Kelly a chance, who knows it may be a blessing in disguise.

No Laker is averaging over 30 minutes a game.

If you're going to post nonsense at least find some nonsense with some facts to back you up

Kobe was averaging nearly 40 minutes a game before his achilles tear. Once Kobe came back after 8 months of not playing in a basketball game, he logs nearly 30 minute games even on back to backs.

Steve Blake was logging 25+ minutes a night even AFTER D'Antoni learned of his right elbow injury. This went on for 6 games before the Lakers finally shut him down.

Inconsistent minutes given to Jordan Hill, Jordan Farmar, Robert Sacre and playing Gasol in stretches where the opposition PF/C would sh1t bricks on him.

There's your facts. So don't get all offended and sh1t. I'm just calling it as it is.

I was impressed with his passing in college, haven't seen him play in the NBA at all. I like that the Lakers are basically trying out a bunch of younger cast offs to see who can stick long term.

What is it with orange and red uniforms in the NBA?
This is like the Hawks-Knicks game from this year.

I actually think this might be one of those situations similar to the Lin situation, in which a player due to an injury gets a chance to show that he belongs in this league. When I think of Kendall's passing ability and D'antoni's system I see a lot of good that could come out of the situatiion

He definitely deserves a chance to play in the L. Was in a bad spot on the Suns behind so many PGs.

The lakers are a roster of over the hill, busts, and has-been players. This is good for him. On a team like the lakers that aren't going anywhere he should get some minutes.

With the willing shooters the Lakers have AND being inserted into a D'Antoni system as a pass first PG is going to be nothing but good for everyone involved. If it works out, he will become ridiculously overrated.
