It's weird how he died right before the movie came out.

Here's what I think. Most people around Mandela knew his time here was limited. I wouldn't rule out that the movie company stalled releasing this film waiting for him to pass away.

I was talking more about the release date though...Most movies are sent straight to dvd because they suck, like that Vampire move with Alayah or whatever that singer that died in that airplane crash name was.

This movie was in production long before Mandela died.

Maybe the movie producers killed him to gain publicity for their movie.

I mean lets be honest, his death will do wonders for their box office numbers.

I saw a trailer for this in I believe late august or early september at another movie. Stringer coming up. Might win an oscar. Its going to an english black guy with way from what I hear about 12 years a slave.

Honestly I think Mandela's family would appreciate a movie like this. I know I would.

Also they were in production way before he died.

crediting some bitch with all Mandela's work, sick of this revisionist feminist bullshit version of history hollywood is trying to push. Oh yeah did you hear, Shakespeare was actually a woman too, according the revisionist feminist bullshit version of imaginary world history.

It's Stringer Bell tho it could be good.

Idris did a great job but the movie isn't gripping, as it tried to cover a lot of ground (1940 til 2000ish) in a two hour movie. More info than pathos so its not going anywhere with Oscar's. Mandela is a hard person to capture because his charisma is understated and his way of speaking was not dynamic. Being that he was a pragmatic leader you really need context to feel what he was doing.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, of 12 years a slave, had a ton of emotions in it and he did a great job.
