Just 2 more years, Thunder fans.

Listen man....Perkins is a solid low post defender, sets good screens, and a good locker room presence, but some of the shit he does on offense is just unacceptable. Dude is constantly ****ing up. It's very frustrating to watch. I don't know how the coaching staff/teammates put up with it. I never see his teammates react to any of the mistakes he makes, but come on....they have to feel some type away about it. How can you not?

In 2009-2010 Perkins was second in the league in FG% at .602. #WiltLike

Some how he avg'd 10PPG oncein Boston. Yes he is not the same post injury but I don't think Rondo gets enough love for getting Perk to double digits and leading paint assists despite not having bigs that were great inside finishers.

He will be a total liability against Miami. :facepalm

Yep, Rondo was telling how he had to do bounce pass to Perk, since he couldnt catch otherwise :D

And KG made Perk look like one of the best defenders in NBA, and OKC bought it :lol

btw i always remember the celtics running a post play or 2 to start the game for Perk which seemed like it would help him concentrate on everything else after that point.

Bird like pass to Ibaka under the ring. The man has legendary vision.

If Brooks has any brains he doesn't play Perkins against Miami.

Yeah well, Perkins was a liability in 2012, and Collison was playing well coming off the bench, but Brooks didn't change the lineups. Brooks that series just made me smh, after a well coached WCF against the hot Spurs.

Brooks doesn't have any brains. proof is he hasn't realized he has no brains. this guy is the Mike Brown of the West. remove Wetsbrook or KD from his team and he becomes a useless coach.

Well, except, you know...Brooks is actually improved somewhat since 2012. Perkins is averaging 18 MPG this year. That's not a typo, Perkins is averaging less than 20 MPG. And if anyone just bothered to pay attention during the first round of the playoffs last year they would've noticed that Brooks essentially benched Perkins.

So yes, while Brooks still has his flaws, I do think he has improved in some areas as a coach and he's already showed a willingness to put Perk's worthless ass on the bench most of the game against teams without much of a "true" frontcourt presence.

No, not really. He gets his 20-30 minutes against teams like the Spurs, Grizzlies, and Pacers, and around 10-15 against teams who don't really have a center.

Holy shit. I don't even understand how a pro basketball player can be THAT bad. He legitimately looks like a guy who has only played basketball like 2 times in his life.

All these Perkins "highlights" coupled with the inexplicable confidence in his offensive game I have seen Perkins exhibit at times when I watch him play makes me question if he actually has deluded himself into thinking he is a positive on the offensive end of the court.

For Thunder fans, there is nothing to complain about at the moment. You know you are just a hater when you rip the starting center for a 22-4 team that is dominating right now.

The concern isn't now, it's on down the line. If he was just a backup who got more minutes to bang legit centers, and was only making a couple million a year, nobody would complain. People would probably be glad to have him coming off the bench in such a role.

And everyone knows the team to beat has it's weakness inside, not on the perimeter. Perkins doesn't help at all against Miami. Again, if he was just a backup making backup money then no big deal. And the Thunder could have afforded a more serviceable starting center until a guy like Adams is ready.

There's one more year on his contract and the Thunder have the option to amnesty him after this year if they want to. Yes, he is overpaid, but Adams is not ready to start yet and probably won't be until at least next season. Perk does two things very well for the Thunder. He sets good picks and plays good defense against other teams bigs. It's time to accept what he brings to the team and quit trashing him because nobody is going to accept a trade that includes him without the Thunder giving up one of their young pieces. There is so much offensive firepower on this team that we don't need him to score. The Thunder are 22-4 and rolling right now. They look like a legit contender and until that changes there really isn't anything to complain about.

Thunder lose Perk to the FA or manage to trade him then...

GOATbrook gets an injury that severely hampers his athletic ability.

Lamb, PJ3, and Jackson never progress further.

Thabo still a scrub.

Ibaka decides to become primarily a 3pt shooter.

Durant leaves because his team sucks.

Perk is what keeps the karma balanced in the Thunder universe. Without him, something else will fall.

0 points, 3 rebounds, 2 turnovers, 4 fouls in 19 minutes.
