Because Anthony Bennett is a beast. Perkins is already a monster. And what happens when you have a beast and a monster on the same team in the frontcourt together? Domination.
Just think of all the monster statlines they would post together..

I know right. Cavs shouldn't give up so quickly on #1 draft pick Anthony Bennett. Dude's a beast, when given minutes. He needs to go to OKC where he can flourish alongside the tutelage of Kendrick Perkins.

Even though you tried and were very right about OP being a troll, you failed.
PS: thanks for the negative rep. I'm sorry that you have a personal issue that prevents you from being disagreed with.

I'm not sure how to feel about this trade. Cavs would have to take on Ibaka's huge contract for the next 4 years when they already have Thompson lined up at PF.
I do think Bennett deserves a chance elsewhere. He won't get many opportunities on the Cavs.

We need a "Worst Proposed Trades on ISH of All-Time" thread, which would mostly be filled with Hawkfan and El Gringo trade scenarios, but this one would easily make it.

The Cavs already got a PF better than Ibaka so I don't see the point for either team tbh. You don't trade for 12+million dollar role players unless it's a 1 year 2 year deal max to clear cap room.

It never fails. You're annoying as shit and somewhat funny at the same time.

Perkins stifling defense against guards and beast offensive post game in the Knicks game makes me wonder of the sheer dominance he could have with Bennett in a high low game on the perimeter..

Lol of course I would take that. Don't think OKC would though. :D

I'm not very anxious to trade away Bennett, tbh. I still think he could end up being a very nice player in this league. He likely will never live up to that No. 1 pick, but I couldn't care less about that. As long as he becomes a productive player, I'll be happy.
He simply has not played enough to completely give up on the guy. He seems to be catching up with the speed of the game. He's shooting something like 45% from the field in December and there are reports that he is improving quite a bit in practice.
Thing is, Mike Brown is old school... He's not going to play the kid until he's totally ready on both ends of the floor. And, I can live with that. He needs time to get his confidence back.
He'll continue being a joke to everyone around the NBA until he proves otherwise and I get that. But, that doesn't mean -- as a Cavs fan -- I'm ready to abort.

With Westbrook out with recovering from his 3rd knee surgery this season until after the all star break, the Thunder need some veteran leadership at 1 spot. I say they promote Fisher to the starting lineup in order to retain Reggie Jackson's energy off the bench.
Also while Serge Ibaka's trade value is at an all time high, they should pull the trigger and trade him and his bloated 4 year contract to the Cavs for the 2013 #1 pick Anthony Bennett.
This could be a blessing in disguise for the Thunder.
PG: Fisher | Jackson
SG: Sefolosha | Lamb
SF: Durant | Gomes
PF: Bennett | Jones
C: Perkins | Collison | Adams

I feel comfortable in saying (a) the Cavs aren't even close to calling it quits with Bennett, (b) they're not going to take on that massive contract when they've been so careful in preserving their cap space over the last three years and (c) the last thing the team needs is another athletic PF without much of an offensive game.
Makes no sense for either team, really.

Because the trade works out for both teams. Ibaka's value is at an all-time low now after he suffered the major calf injury and disappeared in the final 3 games of the playoffs.
Bennett's value is also an all-time low. Cavs need to get what they can for him. OKC wants young talent to develop. They seem to be good at that.
