Poll: What do you call a dog/woof/Chihuahua?

Growing up on a small planet called Earth. We called everything dog (every member of the Canis lupus familiaris subspecies).

It would be like

Dude1: "Hey do you own a Chihuahua dog?"
Dude2: "Sure what kind?"
Dude1: "Well there's short-haired, long-haired, black, white, golden ones"

Since living I've never met another person who used that "woof" terminology. Everyone else calls them dogs or canines.

So what do you call it?

2. woof
3. Chihuahua
4. other (Why do you call it other? That's pretty weird)

funny i just mentioned this to my friend yesterday. Here in New York, we call them dogs, but from what I've heard, most of the country calls them woofs?

the civilized areas calls them dogs, the other part of the usa call sodas pop and dogs woofs. wtf is a woof?
