I know most people would go with the better player in CP3, but I think Curry would be the better choice once you have a playmaker the caliber of Lebron on your team because of his shooting and ability to play off the ball.

Who would you choose?

CP3 because he is clearly the better player

Lebron driving and dishing to a spot up Curry > CP3 taking the ball out of Bron's hands, doubt Bron would stay engaged if he had to play off that ball that much.

Although, the perimeter defense of CP3 and Bron would be freakin' amazing.
Imagine CP3 getting his usual steals, and throwing the ball up court to Bron with a head of steam for an open court dunk.

Curry seems like a much easier and obvious fit.

Curry gets just about as many steals as CP3 does.

I also agree with you. If you have CP3 on your team, you're running your offense through him most of the time which takes away from one of Lebron's biggest strengths. With Curry, you have a player that is almost on the level of CP3 in terms of playmaking, but is a much better player at playing off the ball and a much better shooter.

Lebron gets to keep his stats if you pair him up with Curry, but he loses a lot of those assists if you pair him with CP3.

Lebron stans have to go with Curry, but I think CP3 is a better fit due to him making Lebron's life even easier.

I would argue that Curry would make Lebron's life easier with the spacing he gives. Curry gets more respect beyond the arc than anyone in the league.

Curry. You have enough ball handling between those two. No need for Paul at that point. Curry and Lebron is a stealthy tandem.

CP3 without question.

I don't think any legitimate basketball fan would argue that Curry is better than CP3. I do think that Curry is the better fit with Lebron though.

The better player is the better fit.

Having the two best passers in the past decade on your team is an asset you just can't pass up. Plus CP3 has a little more "dog" in him I think. He manages the game better than Curry, and while that 3 point shot is very compelling CP3 just has the intangibles that would make him the better selection.

By changing him into a completely different player?

this.

lebron is at a point right now where he's quite comfortable playing off the ball and scoring quickly without hesitation or overdribbling. he and chris paul would get along just fine. their pick and roll game would be unstoppable.

plus i have a hunch their personalities would mesh really well. paul has an edge and a feistiness to his game that lebron would play off very comfortably i think.

not that steph is far behind in the equation. but the better shooter doesn't automatically mean the better fit with lebron.

Curry would be an amazing fit and is younger, but CP3 is way better, less injury prone, and still fits well because Lebron can play off ball and CP3 is a good shooter.

A Lebron-CP3 duo would be just as good in the half court sets as it is in the fast break...scary combo.

Steph Curry. LeBron is at best when the ball is in his hands.

this question 100% revolves around the playstyle LeBron decides to have on this team

With cp3 - he will have the ball less but might have more opportunities to score

With curry- defense can't collapse on the LeBron drives or else easy 3

LeBron can basically do everything CP3 can and more. LeBron would draw a double team when he drives, kick it to a wide open Curry, splash.

the real question is, which PG gets better playing with LeBron? I think both do but Curry is the one that benefits way more playing with LeBron.

Lebron scores best when he is in motion there isn't a 6'8" in the league that can run with him if he had CP3 passing him the ball it would be impossible to guard him.

Curry is better fit, but I'd take CP3 simply because he's a better player.

CP3 can always adjust his game. Not to mention, he's a better defender by a wide margin

Both of them would work more like spotup shooters next to Lebron.... with that being said, Steph Curry....

Im so nba'd out

people make me so mad WHY THE HELL WOULD LEBRON JAMES PLAY OFF THE BALL IF CP3 WAS ON HIS TEAM?ARE PEOPLE STUPID CP3 WOULD BE THE PERSON TO ADJUST HIS GAME USE YOUR BRAIN PPL SHEESH.I DONT CARE IF A.I WAS ON HIS TEAM THEY WOULD ALL LEARN TO PLAY OFF THE BALL UNLESS YOUR JORDAN MAGIC JOHNSON OR KOBE NO 1 IS GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE LEBRON ADJUST HIS GAME....AND THATS REAL

Will Curry ever make this list:

Obvious answer is CP3....don't get me started on the defensive factor.

For you guys saying it wouldn't work because CP3 has the ball in his hands most of the time...have you been watching the most recent games when Crawford has been starting in place of Redick/Green? He has a playmaker in Crawford and gives the ball up to him quite a bit. Nobody else (besides Blake when he's not ejected for bullshit calls) can make their own plays.

It would work with CP3 but Steph Curry gives LeBron the best spacing.

Are people really saying defensive factor in regards to Paul/Curry as if Paul is a good defender? Gambling for steals doesn't make you a good defender. Paul is not a good defender and using that has any sort of justification for picking him is beyond asinine.

CP3 and Lebron are a billionaire's man Stockon and Malone. Would pick CP3 and sleep easy at night.

A championship squad definitely needs more than one playmaker, CP3 is a talent that's rare to come by and much better than Curry in this respect. So give me CP3, add some veteran role players and you immediately have a strong contender.

You obviously pair the best PG with the best player in the world. They would easily make it work. LeBron in motion with CP3 passing to him would be deadly.

that's just a myth haters like to propagate.

and i'd pick Curry. because I like Lebron driving and posting up more than waiting for CP3 to make the play and catch off ball.

a pick and roll tandem with CP3 gets 2 points
a drive and kick to Curry gets 3 points

Curry and Lebron just meshes so much better. defenses can't collapse on Lebron if Curry is there.
