Why has Watch Dogs hype died down so much?

I've been looking at top next-gen games for 2014 lists recently that are quite new, and most of them have Watch Dogs out of the top 10 or just in. I thought this'd be at least a top 5 game?

I think the delay soured many people, including me. I was really wanting this game. I still haven't canceled my preorder for the PS3, though.

The announcement and gameplay footage of other games took peoples interest at the most recent gaming expo's. Delaying it from a release game to spring of next year will also cool off the hype.

Well it's the rumor. Personally, I can't see Sony dropping inFamous on the same day as what's most likely to be the biggest game of the spring.

Every new shooter I hear about, people are like, "It looks like COD" or "it looks like Halo". It's old already. Not excited for Titanfall at all, but it looks nothing like Halo...at all. Not even the least bit.

It'll be a great game, but f*ckers got us waiting since E3 2012? Haha. Waiting that long is like watching 'The Walking Dead' live on TV. It's brutal as f*ck having to wait for the commercials to finish. It kills off the suspense, but in this case ... I'm really not that excited anymore.

Difference between GTA & Watch Dogs is that GTA/Rockstar has proven themselves already, whereas Watch Dogs has yet to do so.

actually it's the other way around. people are comparing titanfall to cod and destiny to halo.

I was told mid-April. I'm looking forward to it. I like getting a new game without having any money come out of my pocket that day. It's like staying one step ahead.
