David Aldridge @daldridgetnt 11m
Whoa: Cavs announce Andrew Bynum suspended from team for conduct detrimental. Excused from all team activities "indefinitely."
Anyone know more about this?

The Cavs should go ahead and release him, so he can come to Atlanta (where he should have signed in the first place).

Bynum probably said, "Play Anthony Bennett more." And then got suspended for it.

Damn, what a waste of size and talent.
Well, at least he's set for life, if he hasn't squandered his money.

Something's fishy about this. It sounds like he's trying to get released to sign elsewhere.

He's playing with a lot of knee pain.

Team is going nowhere this season.
If he gets released, he can go to Miami and win another championship.

Cavaliers havent looked good the last few games anyway. They blew a home win 3+ times against Atlanta and still lost anyway even though they should've had the game in the bag. Jeff Teague shitted on us because our "Mike Brown" defense didn't play smart defense.
It's fine with me though, the more losses, the closer Mike Brown can get fired or at least some management change can happen. While I'm fine with most of our picks, I never liked the Brown pick up or the Bennett pick from day one. And so far, they haven't worked out at all.
Meanwhile you have a totally gutted team like the Celtics getting a college coach (in which traditionally college coaches don't do well in the NBA most of the time) and they're competing every night usually and buying into their coach's philosophy. Cleveland? Not so much.
Want to know the sad part? We can't blame injuries at all, everyone's been pretty decently healthy until Waiters missed a few games, which isn't a biggy. We've been healthy for the most part and it still hasn't worked out.

He should have signed with the Hawks instead. We would have had a lineup (when healthy) of Bynum-Horford-Millsap-Korver-Teague, a smart veteran team, a team of all good passers.

Bynum will never be healthy, he plays with knee pain every day, which is probably part of the reason he doesn't want to play anymore.
Plus that lineup is so f*cking stupid. Millsap in no way shape or form is a SF, or can play SF in stretches. He's a PF and always will be.
But sure, sign him, f*ck your team up more if you want. :oldlol:

In stretches, Millsap can play small forward. We also have Carroll and Korver can slide down to 3 as well.
We have the Nets first round pick, so hopefully we'll get a high draft pick.
We have cap space to sign a max level free agent next year.
We'll have our first round pick from this year coming over next year, Luis Nogueira.
Jeff Teague has improved to warrant All-Star consideration.
So the Hawks are not fukked up. Get your facts straight.

He doesn't want to play basketball. I'm not saying the Hawks are f*cked up, I'm saying if you sign Bynum it's a bad move at this point.

With all the knee problems though I can't blame him entirely for losing interest... but taking the money and half assing it is spoiled bitch stuff.

Clippers and Heat are his top two choices. Two teams really interested in him.

bynum was always a punk. Cavs did the right thing and if he got suspended indefinitely it would be well deserved.
he's a chump with a chump attitude.

"Growing up, Bynum cracked open telephones so he could examine the circuitry and put them back together. At seven he was in the chess club at his local Barnes & Noble. At 14 he was installing Microsoft Windows on broken laptops his mother found in her office. His favorite subject in school was physics. He only considered colleges where he could major in mechanical engineering. His plan after graduation was to land a job as a computer programmer. He can describe the difference between a quad-core and dual-core processor in such detail that it almost makes sense. "He cares deeply about the way things work," says L.A. coach Phil Jackson. The Lakers knew Bynum would encounter setbacks, but while the typical teenager might shut down, his instinct was to keep tinkering. It's how he is wired. "I want to master everything," Bynum says. "I want to understand what the hell is going on."

Can Spurs get him? They need someone aside from Timmy on that frontline.
I hate to break it to some of you, but he doesn't want to play basketball on a losing team in Cleveland. He's not that kind of driven player. He wants to be in a place he likes better, he wants others to carry the load, he doesn't want to deal with conflicts of any kind. He's a big child.
Atlanta claiming him would be asinine, he'd basically be the same problem he was in Cleveland.

Wasn't there a story awhile back about how he wanted to be "the man" on a team?

He wanted Kobe to shut the **** up I always took that more as than he wanted to put in the work necessary to be that player.

That's pure speculation on your part. Woj is reporting that his sources say he's pretty much done with basketball all together.

Why don't we move all of these discussions over to the other thread? No sense in having two threads on the same exact topic. I'm not just going to delete this one, because there are some thought-out posts in here, but I'm probably going to lock it.
I want to give people a chance to move their posts over there (only admin can merge).

To be fair, I posted this one before the other thread was created. It makes sense to just lock this one and if anyone wants to continue something from here just link back to their post.

Yeah, sorry about that. The other thread just has far more posts for whatever reason.

And other people are posting that he wants to go to other teams, including LA and Miami. A bunch of other people. You can't pick and choose which rumors you like.
