Never say never. It takes a certain type of big to mesh with Kobe Bryant's skills. It doesn't work out with every player. The Chris Kaman signing hasn't worked out at all.

If the Lakers are really committed to D'Antoni remaining their coach for the length of his contract :facepalm they should go ahead and get something for Gasol. As it is, they are not getting any bang for the bucks they are paying him. Not saying I don't like Pau, but he is simply not performing well in MDA's system, and to pay him that much money and have him underachieve the way he is, is a waste of talent and money.
