I would say he's in top5 but his lack of defense will keep him from being an elite player. I could care less if his scoring improves.

bosh playes pf for 4 minutes per game when both he and birdman are in. i'll pick dirk over griffin when the playoffs start but griffin is better now, having a better season.

They all do what power forwards are suppose to do and are heavily related to how their teams perform at noticeable levels more than anybody else. Bosh gets kind of an honorary pass because he's playing on a 2x champion and is the only consistent player on the Heat who takes the big man duties daily on the team.

Blake plays big, with authority and has one of the best post games in the league.

Bosh is an underrated defender and he's playing a much different role on the Heat. He isn't relied on as a scorer as much as Griffin is and he plays further from the basket most of the time. He's also relied on to be a Center when he shouldn't be. It's out of necessity.

Are you really going to pretend that Bosh didn't put up 24/11/2 the year before he went to Miami?

Is everyone ignoring Duncan or counting him as a center? Tiago Splitter sure isn't a power forward so I still count Duncan as playing the 4 when paired with him, which is for significant minutes.

Heading in to the playoffs, I still take Duncan and Dirk over every other PF playing at the moment. Aldridge has gone from underrated to severely overrated because the Blazers have started winning a few games, Love has consistently failed to get the Wolves in to the playoffs and Griffin just jumps really high. Davis has the potential to be better than all of them and likely will be as soon as next year.

Blake has been beasting lately. Majorly beasting. Not just racking up points and boards in transition, but dominating stretches of the game from the post. He's definitely top 5.

You could argue that Bosh and Duncan are also top 5, but I think you need to give credit to players that are producing right now. I realize Duncan is in cruise control, and Bosh has to play 3rd fiddle... but it is what it is. Ask me which 5 PF's I would take to win a playoff series, and my list would be different.

I agree somewhat. Dirk has never been a great defender but his offensive brilliance makes up for it. That's kind of how I see Blake.

Blake's offense is not on Dirk's level IMO but his shot has improved and he is a problem in the post. His moves may be unorthodox but they are effective.

His wingspan hurts his defensive potential but he has the strength to push opponents further from the basket than they would want on post-ups so he can still become a good defender.

Not sure where to rank him though. Too many great PFs right now.
