This is stupid as sh*t.

"Playaz Club" was a a pretty big song, so it's highly doubtful that Drake would have just stole from it thinking that no one would notice.

It's definitely a paying homage type of deal here.

song came out in '94, and even then you wouldn't really have known about it unless you were a fan of hip hop.... not many people listening to Drake would get the reference or understand the "homage" being paid is what I'm getting at

Yeah many won't get it. He shoulda at least said 4-tay's name somewhere in the verse.

I got the rope right here! (http://youtu.be/mK4XhR0lYlE?t=15s) :rant

And I was just listening to 4 Tay's original in some Tim Duncan highlight mix the other day. Classic. Haven't heard Aubrey's swagger jacking bit yet, probably won't bother either.

I'm almost positive the following lines where straight off a Too Short track...I definitely recognize it as Short dog...

YG is just hard as fck, and that's why Drake will always be viewed as a studio gang st a, because the bulk of his music features gangsta rap artists like YG.

i dont think he was doing it maliciously, more like a tribute to the bay area.

Lol. Yeah me too. If you watch the YouTube video, you'll see it wasn't short dogg.
The problem was back in the day, when you downloaded the song off of limewire (or other source) they had this song listed as "too short- playas club"
So this song was actually by Rapper 4 Tay but the song was incorrectly titled by Too Short. You can even listen on the second verse the girl say "do you want more ______ Mr. 4 Tay"

I always wondered why it didn't sound like too short. Haha
