For those who don't know, it's a make-believe machine from the Assassin's Creed video game series that allows the user to access the memories of their ancestors via genetic coding or some shit.)

This one is much improved. You can access the memories of any human being who has ever existed. He/she must be dead already.
You will only live through the major events of this person's life.

Whose life would you want to experience?

Great thread idea btw. In no particular order, here's my 10..

Scientists:
Isaac Newton - develops laws of motion, gravity, and optics + invents calculus.. all of that and then he turns 26
Galileo Galilei - the father of modern science
Albert Einstein - E=mc^2. Need I go into his theory of relativity?
Leaders:
Mahatma Gandhi - Preacher of non-violence to overcome injustices
Abraham Lincoln - Arguably the most powerful US president ever
Adolf Hitler - on sheer impact. WW2 affected every nation, and A LOT of future global effects came from that
Augustus Caesar - founder of Roman Empire
Social impacters/others:
Jesus Christ
Siddhartha 'Buddha' Gautama
Mohammad
Aristotle - I had Confucius initially, but I think it has to be Aristotle on sheer impact to philosophy as a whole

I'm a student of history. I want to know how much we have right of them, and I want to learn from each of them to make myself a better person. If I had access to such a machine, I would also put my whole life aside to study these individuals and write books/essays on each of them to help others better understand these individuals.

Probably Einstein.

Having that much of an understanding of the universe is something I hope to have one day.

people would just wait for Hugh Hefner to croak before using this machine, then you can experience living in the mansion
