...and no superstar player has ever been Lois Lane either.

the team is up by 10 with Lebron shooting 3-10

Beasley, Wade, Bosh, Lewis all in double digits

this is why i think they'll win the title. They don't need Lebron to play well to win every game, and on top of that they have 2 other guys that can play on like all nba 1st teamers when given a chance to shoulder the offensive load

Who do you want in the draft, assuming we go the tanking route?

Other than the top 4 guys....I don't know.

If we get that spot then it's going to be tough. Perhaps Jabari?

Maybe, I was big on him over the summer, but I got caught up in the Wiggins and more recently Embiid hype. I think he's our best best if we want to contend one more time with Kobe, since he's the most ready. I don't want any part of Randle (don't like bigs who don't play D), but any of the other top 4 (Parker, Wiggins, Embiid, Exum) would be great.

I don't know if we're going to get Melo and LeBron is probably staying in Miami, but:

Kobe-Parker-Bosh

wouldn't be a bad Big 3 for the next two years.

Well, this isn't about Kobe but to be fair Kobe hit 23 points which is an impact on your team.

11 points has no impact whatsoever.

I remember during a Christmas day game. Kobe took like 33 shots to score like 32, made 11, but on YouTube the Kobe fans were saying that Kobe outplayed Lebron due to Kobe scoring more points.

Found it: http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200912250LAL.html

My memory is pretty good getting the 11-33, but Kobe scored 35 which makes it better.

how many points determine your impact? Is 12 points impactful? Are 22 points impactful?

Depends on the player. If it was a role player then 12 points is an impact.

22 points from a superstar is an impact regardless. That's setting the tone on the opposing defense.

I'm not saying Lebron is a role player like many people believe on this loaded Heat team.

TheMarkMadsen

there was 5 min left in the game & the HEAT were up by 12

next thing i see is Lebron has 5 more points and a few more rebounds/assist

time to get dem stats doe :pimp:

Magic averaged 19.5 PPG over his career. According to your logic, he was neither impactful nor a superstar, right?

Lebron is not Kobe offensively 9erempire, his only way to damage the opponents is not by just trying to score as much as possible.... tonight offensively it was mostly his passing and his teammates produced that way very efficiently... and they win, he didnt need to take & make more shots against that bad team, he didnt even try and didnt need to at all...

When did I say that?

Also, 22 points isn't some benchmark number.

:facepalm

No wonder ISH gets a bad rap. It's guys like you that try to say things that others' didn't.

According to 9er, all that stuff doesn't matter though. Only scoring does.

BTW, Lebron had 4 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist in the entire 4th Q. 2 points after Miami went up by 12 with 3 minutes left. Still, 15/8/8 is an absolutely shitty game for him (by his standards).
