Clips gave up Bledsoe and Caron Butler for Jared Dudley and JJ Redick (Bucks sent JJ to Clips for secound round picks from Suns).

Don't you think the Clips could have got a better deal?

I was shocked then. Seems to me they could have gotten so much better.

This. I thought they could've got someone better than Dudley. And I thought they were going to go after Arron Afflalo or something. But JJ Redick is okay.

JJ was playing super well prior to getting injured. I think most teams were wary of how small Bledsoe is/bad at running a team. Dragic controls the offense much better.

Dudley sucks. One of the worst starters in the league. 100% useless outiside of bricking wide open shots.

the way bledsoe is playing is exactly what clippers management expected and the reason they let him go. they didn't want to pay him his expensive shiny contract. also, they did want two sharp shooters in return to give CP more shooters but dudley can't throw a rock in the ocean with the way he's been playing.

They should have kept Bledsoe and somehow figured out a way to get JJ Redick without having given up Bledsoe.

Redick is really good but looking back on it, Kmart signed for the same amount that Redick is making. The Clippers could have easily gotten a team to S&T for Bledsoe/Martin.

It just looks worse right now because JJ got injured and Dudley is performing terrible.

I think I read somewhere Doc was the one who wanted the trade. The owner actually vetoed it but Doc said he would quit if it was vetoed.

If Redick was playing and Dudley wasn't performing like shit it would be fine.

How were they supposed to know that CP3 would be an epic dumbass and flop himself into an injury?

Wow are they gonna suck without him and Redick though. Blake Griffin can't even really create his own offense in the halfcourt. This team is gonna drop a few seeds. Gonna LMAO if they get OKC in round 1. Gonna get swept and people are still gonna continue giving Paul free passes.

Except Blesdoe was really their only expendable asset. They wouldn't have gotten Reddick otherwise.

If it wasn't for the injuries, it'd be OK for the Clippers. The Suns clearly won the deal, and Milwaukee is Milwaukee, they're often times confusing and do not make any sense.

Yeah things sure would be different if everything was different

At the time the trade was incredibly fair for everyone team not named the Milwaukee Bucks. JJ was a known asset, Dudley was coming in with a great rep as a role player, and Bledsoe was the enigma waiting to pan out.

Redick getting injured and Dudley having a below average year doesn't change those facts.

it doesn't really matter what they do with their back court, it's their front court that has issues.

Yeah. Clippers wanted role players who can shoot it to surround CP and Blake. Everyone knew about Bledsoe's potential but no one really knows how he would pend out as a full time starter.
At that point Suns were getting rid of everyone for youth and picks. Fortunately Bledsoe lived up to his potential. Both teams got what they wanted. In hindsight, results did however benefited the Suns more.

The Bucks however.

If they could have kept Bledsoe they would have. They would have never been able to pay him enough to stay.
