I have a house to rent:

http://www.aluguetemporada.com.br/imovel/p927834

We can organize transportation to and from the stadium. The house is in Salvador so you get to see Spain x Netherlands, Germany x Portugal, Switzerland and France, Bosnia and Iran (:wtf: ), a top 16 round and a quarter-finals round.

This isn't a scam, i really own the house :coleman:

Asking price is 30.000 reais for 1 month, which in american dollars is around 12.500 dollars. The house has enough space for 12 people to stay comfortably (4 suites). 2 of the suites have jacuzzis in the bathroom. I used to live there but its far from college and work so i moved to another apartment.

The neighbourhood is extremely safe, it has its own private security which can be called at anytime.

Well its the World Cup and you get to divide that fee for 12-15 people. Its a high-end house with jacuzzi's, swimming pool, garden, etc. Check out the rates hotels are charging for one day during the World Cup and i believe its not outrageous.

Well after seeing the house I will be expecting the toilets to be gold:lol

Either way I am probably going to Brazil but there are only 6 to 8 people going with me and there is no way I am spending more than 1200 for a month for a house. But if I find enough people on FB that wants to go I'll let you know, but don't get your hopes up.

First of all, its not in the middle of nowhere, its in a city with 4 million people, in an expensive suburban area. It has a huge living room all in Carrara marble brought from Italy, designer furniture, etc.

Please give us your valuable expertise on real-estate in Brazil and tell us how much a one-month rental should be worth during the World Cup.

same thing whether he owns it or his father. It's the family's house and I'm sure a father would listen to a son on how to conduct business on a property that is owned especially during a time like the WC where people are paying a premium.

Ok bro, you just went full retard.

Aren't people here real? Dont they have an interest in soccer? There is 500 page long thread about it. There are a lot of americans on this site, the Real (brazilian money) is cheap when compared to dollars (2,40 reais for every 1 dollar). Not saying its a sure thing someone here will rent it, but it sure is a possiblity. And the house is advertised in a freaking renting website, its not like i am betting all my hopes on getting someone from ISH to rent it.

How close is the house to the stadium?

The problem we have here is the price. You are stating a high price and trying to get us to squeeze 12 others to do it.

How about lower the price and for 5 people? I know at most 5 that would be down to go with me. Can this be shared with another group? I don't want to stay a month either. At most 2 weeks.

Where is the championship match at? If it's there, then I may think about it and want that week.

Also, you should do it like a vacation package, will tickets to the games, transportation, food and women be included in this package? If you can provide the following then I can justify the price.

The house is about 40 minutes away from the stadium.

You dont have to stay the whole month, and no the championship match won't be here, it will be in Rio de Janeiro.

Problem of doing a vacation package is that we would become responsible for everything and increasing our liability increases our possible costs. But food and staff for the house can be easily arranged, so can transportation. Women is the most expensive part so that can't be included though I can suggest some phone numbers.

you're talking about just renting out a home 40 minutes away from some soccer...

If the Superbowl happened only once every 4 years, decided the WORLD champion and not only US champion, and if American Football was the most popular sport in the world then you could compare it to the World Cup, until then its a ridiculous comparison.

Also check that website you just posted on houses in Salvador, Brazil during June/July of 2014 and see the prices. Lol, i am thinking of raising them now o.O

it's a question of money

Super Bowl tops Forbes' most valuable brands (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2749584)

The world's most popular sport may be soccer, but in cold, hard dollars, nobody throws a party like the National Football League.

The NFL's Super Bowl tops Forbes' first list of the world's most valuable sporting events brands, worth $379 million. Following the Super Bowl were the Summer Olympics ($176 million) and soccer's World Cup ($103 million).

SB might happen more often, and might not have as many fans because it is just the US, however it STILL brings in more money and the city that gets to host it rakes in millions of dollars

Sorry, p.tiddy, but I can't believe that. There's no way in hell the Super Bowl gererates more money than the World Cup. The link you posted say this: "We then divided this amount by the number of days of competition". See? It looks like this criteria was made to have the Super Bowl as number one.

The World Cup Draw has almost 3 times the audience of the Super Bowl worldwide. The World Cup is just so much bigger than the Super Bowl. I repeat that I can't believe it does not more generate more money. I mean, an ad in the world cup final football field will be seen by almost one billion people in the entire world...

I agree and that's why I asked for travel time to the stadium. Not going to go to this WC but I would be tempted if it was 10 or 15 minute drive. I want to party near the stadium and local area.

A 40 minute drive is really away from the party. You don't want to be away but close regardless how nice the house is.

It's already a dangerous country and try being a foreigner trying to convince another foreigner to go 40 minutes away to party somewhere they have no idea where.
