What's his ranking in the all-time Bulls ranking?

1. Michael Jordan
2. Scottie Pippen
3. Rodman? Deng? Rose?
6. Noah?

no pun intended

Elton Brand>Luol Deng

EDIT: nvm I'll take that back. Maybe as a player, yes. But contribution to the Bulls history, hell no.

first bulls pick doesn't really mean much.
Deng has 2 all stars as well. He is the 4th all time in points scored as a Bull, and top 5 in most other categories.

It kinda does IMO, that and 2x all star, 4x all nba defensive 1st teams and 2x al nba defensive 2nd teams. Sloan was the first "original bull" picked by the bulls during the bulls expansion draft so that obviously has something to do his place in the bulls history.

Sloan has more games and minutes played than Deng. Around the same points, more rebounds, would've had more steals if the league had counted steals before 1974 (peaked at 2.1 per game) and Sloan has more allocades.

Sloan > Deng.

How much further up the list could Deng have gone if he stayed in a bulls uniform for the rest of his career?

Wouldn't necessarily agree with the order. But all the above represent important names in Bulls history worth discussing in such a thread. Would agree that asserting top 3 is ludicrous.

Listing 5th in steals is, at best, naive; for Sloan, if steals had been counted throughout his NBA career, would clearly be ahead of Deng.

Deng's good and he plays both ends but he's not the 3rd best Bull.

Deng has no case for top 3-5. I doubt he's even Top 10 all-time for the Bulls.

Essentially this. Deng is one of my favorite Bulls of all time, but yeah, what FC said.

Jerry Sloan was one of the best defensive guards of his era and he had a very well rounded out game. The list you put up is fair and all, but to say Sloan is #3 because he was the Bulls first pick is humorous and very misleading to the youngin's that didn't see him play.

*edit* and yeah. Luol is a top 15 all-time Bull. Not top 3, or top 10.

well george gervin played for the bulls but he was pretty shit by that time. Just rank him ahead of Boozer and we're good :lol

I can accept some of the guys on that list. But even D-Rose though?
He might have a higher peak, but he's only been there for what.. 4 seasons?
and injured for the last 2?

Deng has been there for 10 years, as shown by his all-time rank in games played, minutes played, and points scored.

Does Rose's 1 season MVP peak trump all 10 years of Deng's contribution?

Rose will be remembered, he was the best player on those back to back 60+ wins teams. Even though he had a short peak, he has better allocates and a MVP on the top of that. And tbh the bulls were very mediocre before rose broke out as a superstar. Rose is still a bull so he can potentially be the #3 bulls all time.

People forget how mediocre Deng was for a few of seasons after he got paid. Thibs has been huge for him (and vice versa) and was a huge part of the reason for him getting these AS selections. I love the guy and his defence, but come on, top 3-5 is just trolling.

Sorry, but Armstrong, Kerr, Grant, Paxson are all more relevant all time Bulls. Being part of the championship teams just makes them more memorable.
