Favorite TV Show Characters?

Just marathoned through Friday Night Lights for the first time and I don't think I have ever liked an entire cast of a tv show that last that long before. Well the original cast.

Very good show, btw. Well worth the watch if you haven't already. View the pilot and if you aren't sucked in, then stop there. Arguably the best pilot episode I have ever seen, along with Dexter, Lost, and probably a few others I'm forgetting. The entire first season is amazing. And if you sit through the series, the series finale is also one of best. Weird show how it fluctuated. Season 1 is amazing, 2 is horrible, 3 is very good, 4 is good, and 5 is probably between 3 and 4 for me.

This will probably be a "oh yeah, I forgot about..." type of topic.

How can sane people like Walter White is beyond me

Liking a character doesn't necessarily mean you agree with every action they take. I agree that the overglorification of him, "Long Live Heisenberg" chants, and labeling of Skyler White as a "bitch" is immature and misguided, but I like Walter White for being one of most complex and intriguing characters ever brought to the TV screen. I'm just surprised Jesse Pinkman doesn't get more love in threads like these. Aaron Paul is every bit as talented as Bryan Cranston at such a young age, and Jesse was so multi-faceted. He covered the whole spectrum of emotions and did it in such compelling fashion.

Dude's an OG, triple OG. He can blow up the entire town one Sunday and be back at work the next Sunday. He f*cks Marge like crazy; he's an awesome dad; he is real and never sugar coating around all his neighbors; he drinks like a fish; when he tries getting in shape, he does it with success; he was a mascot for a Major League Baseball team in the early '90s; he attends church, even though football is on; he ditched Springfield when a huge dome was put over it and saved that bitch just at the knick of time; he never ages; he is environmentally aware, which is why he drives the same pink sedan since 1989; he's eaten toxic waste before without dying; he has hung out with celebrities most people can't even imagine meeting in their lives; he fights regularly; he once bought Lisa a pony; he chokes Bart, and everyone knows kids need to be beaten to learn a lesson; he house-sat for a billionaire once; he's been in the navy; he gave his dad a kidney; he's been arrested a bunch of times but has never served a crazy long prison sentence..

Should I keep going? The dude's the man. If everyone could be more like Homer Simpson, the world would be a better, funnier place.
