People who got Wii U when it first came out....glitches?

I got my son a Wii U when it first came out. It's now experiencing a shit load of problems. One of them is before the game loads the screen turns black and freezes. I've searched the internet on how to fix this but can't. Is anyone going through a similar problem with this console?

1- Not sure about updates but I'll ask him. I rarely ever play the thing

2- Black Ops and Super Mario 3D World

His regular Wii still works fine after 4 years. So I assume he takes good care of it

Pretty sure Nintendo has a 1 year warranty or something, you'll probably have to call up their customer support. Launch consoles just tend to have issues like this.

Check if there are any updates. I had problems once and as soon as I updated, never had an issue again.

Well usually when mine does that it's because there's a title update for a game. Took me like 3 restarts before I figured it out. But that was with pikmin 3. Netflix was doing that an awful lot as well before the last update. Is it the TV screen or the gamepad screen going out? From what I read on google searches the gamepad means it's probably a hardware issue like you said. I'm not 100% sure, but if you registered it with Club Nintendo they'll see the warranty is fine because when you do that you get an extra few months tacked on. But I don't think you need the receipt for a repair if it is hardware.

Your son beat it in less time than it's taking me. I bought it launch day and have probably played it for 10 hours and I'm on world 6.:oldlol: Granted I replay worlds till I can get all the stickers but jeez.
