Anybody else know about this? I had carpal tunnel/RSI/lower back pain and this is a miracle.

In a nutshell the theory/author purport that most pain, and especially chronic pain, is not real. It is a result of repressed emotions and they manifest themselves physically. Everyone has structural "imbalances" but not everyone experiences pain.

I literally rid myself of chronic back pain and carpal tunnel/RSI in like 2 days. It's ridiculous. Basically, the force exists.

Read the amazon review and forbes article. That many people aren't making it up.

Yes, its not magic, its just how your body works. Stress manifests itself physically, and causes tight muscles and tendons. Overtime they can get so tight that it causes pain by pinching nerves etc.. .

If you had pain and got rid of it in 2 days that means you had no real issues, just some tightness. You could have done some basic stretches or took a yoga class or went to a massage therapist and had the same result.

These books take that basic idea and write 300 pages about it acting like its some sort of mystical secret and sell 100s of thousands of copies to a bunch of sheep without critical thinking skills. Using words phrases like repressed emotions, unconsciousness, guilt and other vague bullshit to appeal to the public.

Guess what, if you dont do anything all day, never stretch or exercise and then you buy a book and start stretching and exercising, its not the books secret magical concepts that made you feel better, its the stretching and exercising.

i agree that the theory has some merit, and is pretty fascinating on the whole, but that word "most" is a big red flag.

there are a lot of things that can go wrong with the human body due to physical stressors, biochemical stressors and plain genetics. bad diet alone is responsible for all kinds of long-term pain.

no, i say put this theory in the mix... take it seriously... put it to the rest... but don't put it on a pedestal.

side note: understanding the reason(s) that the body distracts itself is obviously huge. that suggests to me that things like therapy, taichi / yoga, meditation and reflection are very important tools to accompany this method.
