clearly more than that. This pic is bogus. Same shit was said about amir johnson after his rookie year as well (and lots of others too). He may be taller, but that pic is not proof of anything

This is complete bullshit. Bucks should be sued for outright lying. He was already measured at 6-10 last year by his Greek team.

This seems like a really odd thing to lie about, let alone get sued for.

Why are you so pissed off all the time?

:facepalm he isn't actually standing next to himself, they super imposed the image and had complete control messing with the scaling. If that image were actually scaled appropriately giannis would be like 4 or 5 inches taller than the other pic. Notice how they don't show their feet. Because if they did, the Giannis on the left would be floating a couple of inches in the air.

They are outright lying about it. He was ALREADY 6-10 LAST YEAR.

This is straight up FALSE marketing and it's definitely complete BULLSHIT.

Side note - His brother impressed the hell out of me on the defensive end the other day in a D-League game against Texas. He's definitely capable of defending NBA talent, while the rest of his game still appears raw.

One of the few times Euroleague the poster is actually right. This is a common NBA franchise marketing gimmick. The notion that he grew is not the issue, the kid could have grown, but the image is bullshit, and even the number is likely BS as well. Heck there is even a chance the kid might not have grown at all and they were just using his without shoes height and some new trainer in the lockerroom measured him in shoes and got excited when he saw a jump from 6-9 to 6-10 and 1/4 (the exact same thickness of the average NBA shoe :oldlol: ) I don't buy what they're selling here. I think Giannis could have grown for sure, but doubtful that the numbers they're throwing around are accurate considering how fudged their marketed image is.

He did not grow. He was already 6-10 last season. This is all complete bullshit.

It was reported over and over last year that his Greek team had measured him at 6-10 with a 7-4 wingspan.

The Bucks are completely lying.

He has a decent 3 point shot, with NBA range, and he can create his own shot, as well as create his a shot for another player, and pass the ball also. So his game isn't completely raw at all.

He's in the mold of a young Gerald Wallace type of player, except quicker and more explosive. If he developed his offensive skills more, he would be better than his brother is, because he's an absolute freak athlete.

A total shot in the dark considering who I'm asking but ...do you have a Link?

There is no way in hell I can find a link from over a year ago to Greek blogs. GET SERIOUS.

But what I am telling you is the absolute truth. He was measured at 6-10 with a 7-4 wingspan LAST YEAR.

The Bucks are absolutely 100% LYING. They are without any doubt doing a total fraud marketing campaign. The NBA just listed him at 6-9, instead of 6-10 so they are doing this fake bullshit "he grew" nonsense.

In fact, FIBA even already officially said he was 6-10 before he was even ever in the freaking NBA.

http://u20men.fibaeurope.com/en/cid_FW2Ym8GSJEAe2vpbWdQMR0.playerID_99285.compID_U IfgjyQcGqk-fPlnl66Tj0.season_2013.roundID_9350.teamID_291.htm l

Height: 2.08m

2.08 = 6-10

And yes, all the players are officially measured by FIBA Europe for FIBA Europe Under 20 Greek national team.

This is complete BULLSHIT. He did NOT "grow an inch".

He has not grown, because he was already 6-10 when they drafted him.

Even at the Greek all star game, they invited Giannis and his brother to attend the game (they were not selected to the game, but they got a special invite from the coaches to play), and they got measured and it was the same result.

They also said there that Thanasis had a 44 inch vertical, as the coaches there measured his vertical jump.

Giannis's hands are huge compared to Durant. They have about the same wingspan but Giannis's hand spread is amazing he can palm a ball so easily

From college, #1.

From Europe, about #10.

NBA HATES Greeks.

But remember, NBA PRETENDS that anyone that played NCAA is "American". According to NBA, even Sarunas Jasikevicius is "American".
