He has abused a ball boy that didn't do shit to him and was just doing his job.
He's also a huge flopper.
He also attended the sprite game as a coach of one the teams. The other coach was Kobe, while Kobe was giving advice to his youngings, LeBron sat further from them on the scorer's table and left before the game had even finished.
He's also a major douchebag, so that helps for people to hate him.

I think most people realize that he's mostly a good guy and only hate his media personality. Seriously, if you take everything he says and does into account that actually gets media spotlight, he comes off as an egotistical a$$. Its obviously not the case in every facet of life, but it goes a long way towards hurting your public image and turning people against you if you come off as full of yourself everytime you talk or are seen in public.

Sorry, but being a douchebag is not a valid reason to hate a player. Anyone with half a brain knows that MJ is 10x more of a douchebag than Lebron could ever hope to be, yet most fans love him. I don't know about that Sprite game, but I can guarantee you Lebron's teammates all love playing with him. Meanwhile, Kobe's teammates are taking less money just to get away from him and the bus that he loves to throw them under every time he fails. :confusedshrug:

I don't see a point in trying to diss Kobe, i only mentioned him briefly trying to explain the situation that was happening.
I really doubt that all of LeBron's teammates love playing with him, specially the older veterans when he was in Cleveland, Bird put it best, you want to have fun, you play with LeBron, you want to win, you go... well, you've mentioned him already.

I didn't see MJ exploiting a ball boy who had done nothing to him, I didn't see MJ wear a check my stats t-shirt.
There's different types of douchebags, MJ picked on players and trash-talked to them, while LeBron picks on... what was that? A 15/16 year-old? And I sure as hell haven't seen MJ box out his teammates in his own fight.
I look like a LeBron hater after posts like these, I understand that, there's obviously a part of me that wants him to fail, but there's a huge reason that part exists, and that's Lebron's unexplanable douchebaggery

Again you mention Kobe by bringing up the Bird quote. You obviously are a Kobe fan, just admit it lol. I'm sure Bird would have a much different answer if he were asked this today, considering what Bron has done to his Pacers the last 2 years. :lol MJ never abused a ball boy, he just punched out teammates, cursed at and belittled referees without even getting technical fouls, cheated on his wife, and possibly got his father killed due to gambling debts! Great role model that MJ is. :facepalm

Well, I've mentioned Kobe, because you tried to attack him, and as he's one of my favourite players, I feel that I should defend the player. I don't give a shit about "possibly". Kobe admitted raping that girl. What's with the alleged stuff?

First, I want to apologize directly to the young woman involved in this incident. I want to apologize to her for my behavior that night and for the consequences she has suffered in the past year. Although this year has been incredibly difficult for me personally, I can only imagine the pain she has had to endure. I also want to apologize to her parents and family members, and to my family and friends and supporters, and to the citizens of Eagle, Colo.
I also want to make it clear that I do not question the motives of this young woman. No money has been paid to this woman. She has agreed that this statement will not be used against me in the civil case. Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter.
I issue this statement today fully aware that while one part of this case ends today, another remains. I understand that the civil case against me will go forward. That part of this case will be decided by and between the parties directly involved in the incident and will no longer be a financial or emotional drain on the citizens of the state of Colorado

Besides, which NBA player doesn't do charity work? I mean Kobe has a Kobe and Vanessa charity foundation to fight against homelesness, MJ has definitely donated some of his money. . I don't think anybody has ever been under more scrutiny than Kobe in that timespan, to comeback from it and cement yourself as a top 10 player for years to come is trully remarkable
I will have to disagree with you here. Lebron was more hated in 2011 than Kobe was for rape allegations in 2003, which says a lot about the morals of our society. :facepalm I have never in my life seen such vitriol against an athlete who did nothing more than host an ill advised TV special and let the world know that he wanted 8 rings. :biggums:
It was a rally for HEAT FANS for crying out loud! What was Lebron supposed to say? "If we work really really hard, we might be able to bring 1 more ring to Miami."

So far nobody ITT has named one thing LeBron has done wrong besides trolling a towel boy when he was younger.... That doesn't amount to the amount of cheating Kobe/Jordan did on their wives, and not to mention MJ's gambling debts, or Kobe throwing Shaq under the bus.

Let me guess... LeBron messing w/ towel boy is worse than Kidd beating his wife?

people can dislike someone for whatever reason they want

personally, i dont hate lebron, but i see why people do. he is something of a front runner. hes played well in the two championship rings, but he still has moments where he gets very tentative. he has even admitted that he gets scared in the big moments.

but then when things go easy, he tries to show off. flexing his muscles, screaming after a big play, but when things get tough, hes suddenly not so vocal.

thats my problem with him.

but who gives a shit, hes paid to play basketball, not win prom king.

you dont get it

lebron has his rings. nobody can take that away from him, but hes softer, mentally, than kobe, duncan, dirk, the other all time greats he has been playing with.

that mental fragility alone doesnt necessarily make me dislike him, its that he stunting hard when things are going well.

You are just rewriting history lol. Since when were Dirk and Duncan mentally tough when things got rough? Do you not remeber Dirk's loosing to Golden State as the one seed? :facepalm

thats fair. i probably shouldnt lump dirk in with lebron, kobe, duncan, shaq. hes not quite at their level. the point still stands though.

I don't think LBJ is mentally frail or soft he just overthinks too much, you can clearly tell on the court he's trying to think out every possible scenario before it even happens instead of just playing on instincts. That sometimes is his downfall

That only happened once in 2011 though.

The other times he lost he played pretty well when it counted.

I am extremely lucky in that I am one of the few of the kids I grew up with to come from a stable, two-parent home. We were poor for a while, but still...we were all in it together. That said, I ran with plenty of guys who were in situations like his where the single mother or father made the tough choice to let the child live elsewhere while she figured out what to do...that's the part that really stands out to me here. Its everything that parent can do to not sink to the level of "I can't care for my child...I am a failure", but as is pointed out in the article, it usually is what works best for the child. Certainly worked out well in Lebron's case.

If I was a woman I would gladly let Lebron put his seed in me to have beautiful children together. I would have given his sons the family he didn't have. I envy his wife and I am sad that I was born a male

Yea that's true but I also saw some of it in last year's finals when he struggled early in the series(and the first 3 quarters of game 6). The Spurs playing off of him totally mind ****ed him and he was too indecisive at times. He needs to stop thinking so much sometimes and just go.

He struggled in that series, but it wasnt because of the pressure. The Spurs were just packing the paint and his jumpshot wasnt there. I would say when the stakes got higher and the pressure rose (fourth quarter and overtime of game 6 and game 7) he showed up. The only time the pressure got to him was 2011. I can honestly say he was nowhere to be seen. :facepalm

I kinda understand him, but to say that it's hard to understand how anyone can hate the guy is blasphemous

You are one sheltered fool if you think what he "did" to the ball boy is anywhere near abuse. :facepalm
